Chapter 2

Colton's POV (point of view)

Her smile was so beautiful. Why had I been so stupid to ask that question? I should have known it was a tough subject. She tried to not let me know she cared but I could tell she did.

I also can't believe that she owned a lightsaber. She just owned up to it as well instead of denying that it was hers. So what if she was a band geek. I think that I was starting to like Ale- No I could not like a band geek!

On the way back to the house I asked her the question. "So what instrument do you play in marching band?"

"I do color guard during marching band season and flute during concert band."

"What's the difference between marching band and concert band?" Wait why do I care?

She laughed at me and my ignorance. She is really pretty when she laughed. "Marching band is when you march on the football field, and concert band is when you sit down and just play." She said.

"Okay I guess that makes sense."

"*sigh* Yeah jocks never get it but that's okay somebody has to like football so I don't have to."

"You don't like football?"

"Nope, not at all."

"Then you aren't worthy of holding that lightsaber" I said teasingly while grabbing her lightsaber.

"Give it back" she laughed, And jump on me trying to grab the lightsaber. I tossed it to Daniel and my sister jumped him. Daniel was only a 1 inch taller then Rachel and I was 3 inches taller then Alex so he passed the lightsaber back to me. Man this girl can play hard. I was barely able to hold on to it. Finally at the same time Daniel and I just decided to let go what we were holding on to. He was holding on to the Rachels arm and I was holding onto lightsaber (which coincidentally Alex was pulling on as well). I just let go for a little bit before I grabbed her hand that didn't have the lightsaber in it and placed the my other hand on her lower back so she ended up in a dip position. Rachel was not so lucky. She fell on her butt. I think Alex blushed but I couldn't tell. She jumped out of my arms, pushed me away, and helped Rachel off the ground.

We got back to the house I opened the door for her. Well and everybody else too but mostly her. "Wow the guy has some manners" Alex said

"Sometimes but not very often" Rachel replied .

"Well thanks Colton."

"Your welcome" I said giving her my half smile that usually makes most girls melt. She just rolled her eyes at me as if she knew what I was thinking.

"Great the kids- I mean teens are back" the sudden change of Jake's word was because of a small glare given by Alex.

"Alex why don't you go by your real name?" I asked.

"Well I feel like it is to girly for me."

"Alexa is a very beautiful name." I said

"Yeah it is but Alex is better."

I felt like she wasn't telling me something but I didn't push her.

"You called us back for something."

"Not really. We just wanted to make sure that your not getting in trouble" Alice (Jakes wife) said. My mom smirked.

"Actually Alex its almost time to go and we haven't had a good conversation. We keep getting interrupted by the kids. Would you please baby sit?"

"Sure mom I guess I can baby sit."

"Thank you hun."

Daniel and Rachel went out on the deck to talk and Alex and I went to go baby sit. We had two kids to watch. Cody and Shella. Shella was two years old and she and Cody got into a lot of fights. Anya was in the room but not doing anything to stop the fight.

"Cody, Cody what happened" Alex said grabbing him by the arm

"She stole my favorite car"

"I am sure that she didn't know it was your favorite car she probably just wants to play with you."

"Don't want to play with her she is boring. Will you play with me?"

"Only if she can play with us too."

"Fine you be princess Layla. You are trapped in this tower and I will come rescue you."

"Okay. Help help I am trapped in a tower by the big monster baby Shella."

"I will save you!"

And on went their game.

Anya got off her phone and came to sit by me.

"Hi I am Anya" she said fluttering her eye lashes.

"Colton"

"Thats a awesome name." She said \

"Uh thanks"

"So do you do any sports?"

"Basketball, track and football"

"Omg thats so cool. So do you have a girlfriend?" she said walking her hand up my arm.

"Um no."

"So how old are you?" She asked.

"16"

"I am 14"

"Cool I am going to go play with Cody now"

"Okay" she said pouting.

"Hey Cody can I play?" I said then out of the side of my mouth I said "Alex please save me from your sister."

She smiled at that "what do you say Cody."

"Fine he can play if he is this girl. I am the only one aloud to be a boy"

"Okay" I said grabbing sleeping beauty off the table.

This game was about a ship full of bad guys that he would beat up and then save the girls. He always made Shella be the bad guys.

After a while Alex's mom came in and said it was time for her girls to leave.

"Bye Alex thanks for playing with me" Cody said hugging her

"Your welcome. Bye Squirt. See ya Colton."

"Hey where's my hug?" I asked. She just rolled her eyes.;

"Bye Colton"

"Bye Alex" I said giving her a smile.

"I will take that hug" Anya said.

"Good bye Anya" I said making it clear that the hug was not for her.
