"A-- -o- o-a-?"
What....is that voice? It sounds familiar almost.
"Ar- y-u ok-y?"
My ears are....warm, almost painfuly warm, but I can hear bettter, my eyes are adjusting to the dim light.
"Are you okay? Answer me!"
Whoever she is is apparently either worried or impatient... I finaly lock eyes with her, she looks young, about 6 or 7 if I had to guess.

I slowly crawl back, confused and scared. Who was she? Where was I? Who was I?
I didn't realize it until she grabbed my shoulder that I had curled up, my knees drawn up to my chest. I slowly looked back up, nervously watching her and shakily standing, my knees buckling when my vision flashes suddenly, painfully bright for a minute, she helps me stay standing until I can see again.

I gasp as several items appear highlighted in a purple hue, seeing a name appear under some things; a security baton, and a couple stimpaks, while a number showed up under others. I cautiously peer over at the girl, flinching slightly as her name and "stats" appeared in the corner of my vision.

I focused on them and notice to my shock that a menu popped up in the center of my vision and time slowed to a standstill. I read the box of text confused at first, then understanding as the menu expanded, showing a basic cartoonish human with bars under each of the limbs. I slowly looked through each tab, seeing certain effects that bothered me to see, a distorted timer labeled

"Amnesia"(!!!!/!!!!/!!!!/!!!!)
"Shock"(5:29)
"Dizziness"(8:56)
As I panned back through the tabs to the body tab, I noticed that it's left arm's bar wasn't full, and was closer to 1/2 its fullness compared to the rest of the body's limbs. I then saw two options at the bottom of the menu, a "stimpack" and a "radaway".
Not knowing what they did I thought about doing it, before feeling a warm throbbing pain in my left arm, like my ears had hurt earlier, except soon it went away, and the bar was full on the figure...

I soon understood the menu and the features it could help me with, using my inventory tab to instantly change into the clothes that were stored in my pip-boy already, curious as to why they fit perfectly, before I noticed a new tab separate from the menu I had been using, in my upper left vision this time, as I looked at it it expanded, showing several objectives I had been thinking of already, as well as a new tab labeled "knowledge".

For now she closed the menu, looking at the red X that was below where she had first looked to open the menu, time creeping back to motion, the girl; now known to her simply as Kat, stared at her and repeated the hand movement, which the menu thankfully translated for her. The memories of the recently learned language slowly seeping back to her, as well as their interactions after she was freed from the pod...but before that?

She snapped back to focus on Kat and quietly responded with a hoarse voice "I-...I'm fine Kat...just, a bit confused..."
Kat looked at her confused, before asking her gently; "Can you hear now? Can you hear me?".

Amethyst Rampart, for that was the name the Pip-Boy had given her under the figure in the status tab, nodded slowly, taking slow steps back towards the hallway with the cryo-pod rooms in it, making her way slowly to the sentry bot with the components they had picked back up.

While Amethyst worked on the charred Sentry Bot, Kat asked her several questions, almost pestering her at times, given Amethyst's lack of answers to basic questions about herself. Kat seemed suspicious of her work but Amethyst ignored it.

Eventually, after a couple of hours of nonstop tinkering, Amethyst and Kat went to look for any canned food, finding a few cans of meat and some purified water in a broken fridge.

Not long after out of sheer luck they found the last part they needed for the Sentry Bot; a new fusion core...in the generator room. After a few seconds and a quick dash Amethyst whooped as she made it to the other side of the power room, electricity arcing in her trail as she sees Kat running around to meet her back at the repair project, nervously bouncing on her toes as Amethyst slowly slides the new fusion core into the repaired Sentry Bot's back slot, before locking it in place and closing the armored casing.

As the repaired Sentry Bot boots up again, a few modifications made by Amethyst began to kick in, adding and initializing a simple personality for them to talk with, a protection priority protocol,
and a "last resort fastball" upgrade that could help if they needed to get on top of a building quickly.

Finally, after all their hard work, all the effort, the girls came across a single, simple, problem....the bridge wasn't exactly wide in the first place, but now they had to figure out how to get a literal tank over the poor extension bridge. Somehow, thanks to some modifications that even the Sentry Bot, now named "Gus", was pleasantly surprised by how well it worked, his legs now capable of fitting more easily through simple doorways. Sadly, he was still wide enough for his armor to not escape without a few big scrapes.

The trio slowly made their way down to the elevator, opening it and stepping in. Amethyst looked confusedly back through the vault, her mind still processing the new information flooding her senses. Kat watched her quietly from Gus's shoulder, before messing with her new Pip-boy, still working her way through the features the wrist-mounted computer held. She was immediately intrigued by the V.A.T.S. system, scanning through the different targets before closing it, startled by the elevator's sudden lurch in movement.

As the elevator slowly climbed back to the surface, one thing was certain:
Soon, a Trio would affect the Wastes in a way that few people had ever dreamed possible..
