I woke up way earlier than expected. Reaching for my phone, I checked the time — 4:00 AM. Yikes.

I dragged myself out of bed and headed for a quick shower. After drying my hair, I went downstairs... and spotted Jungkook passed out on the couch.

So that's why he disappeared in the middle of the night.

Wait... did I make him uncomfortable? Did I snore? Drool? Was I clinging to him like a koala or something?

I groaned and buried my face in my hands, cheeks heating up from secondhand embarrassment.

Trying to distract myself, I opened the fridge and started rummaging for something to cook. At least I could be useful.

After finishing breakfast, I marched upstairs and knocked on each of the guys' doors like some kind of morning drill sergeant.

"Wake up! Food's ready!"

One by one, they stumbled out of their rooms and down the stairs like confused zombies. I was not going to wake up Jungkook. Nope. Still way too embarrassed.

I passed Yoongi's room and noticed he wasn't up yet either. Typical. I pushed open the door, stood by his bed with hands on my hips, and sighed loudly.

"Wake up, lazy," I said, bouncing on his mattress like a trampoline.

"Five more minutes," he groaned, yanking the blanket over his head.

"Nope." I pinched his cheek until he swatted me away.

"Alright, alright! I'm going!" he grumbled, kicking me off the bed.

"Ow! Rude!" I huffed, stomping back to my room.

After changing into a comfy airport outfit, like a diva. I headed downstairs again. Jin was washing the dishes, and I brought our bags down, stacking them neatly.

"Gosh, I'm so helpful," I muttered to myself, smugly.

"You missed a spot," a voice teased. Jungkook stepped up and reached for one of the bags. "Here, let me."

"No, I got it." I avoided his gaze, suddenly hyper-aware of everything. The couch. The hug. The snuggling.

He raised a brow but didn't argue. "Alright then."

We were ready to head out. I was practically bouncing with excitement. I hadn't seen my high school friends in years — not since I was sent back to the Philippines after all the mess and chaos I created here.

We piled into the car, packed the luggage into the trunk, and I settled into a window seat. Watching the city fade past, my eyelids started to droop.

Jungkook's POV

As I scrolled through my phone, I felt something soft hit my shoulder. It was Y/N. She was fast asleep, head resting against me, breathing soft and even.

I didn't move. She looked peaceful. And tired. The least I could do was let her rest.

When we reached the airport, our car came to a stop. The crowd wasn't too overwhelming, but enough to make us cautious.

I turned to wake her up, but Yoongi held up a hand.

"Don't. She's probably exhausted," he said. "Just carry her."

I hesitated. "Hyung, there are cameras—"

"Exactly. the bodyguards will," he muttered, already stepping out.

Y/N's POV

I blinked awake to the hum of a plane and Jungkook holding my hand.

Wait. What?!

"Why didn't you wake me when we got out of the car?" I asked, voice still groggy, eyes drifting to our intertwined fingers.

"You looked peaceful," he said, thumb brushing the back of my hand.

"And... why are you holding my hand?"

"I get anxious," he said flatly.

I squinted at him. "Then why not hold Yoongi's?"

"Oh sure. That'll go over great. You want me to die mid-flight?"

"Okay, fair." I smiled faintly. "Just let go when you stop being anxious. Before he sees."

"Ladies and gentlemen, please fasten your seatbelts," the flight attendant called over the intercom.

As the plane prepared for takeoff, I instinctively gripped Jungkook's hand tighter. I'd flown before, but it never got less nerve-wracking.

He didn't say anything — just kept holding on.

Five hours later

"Hey... wake up."

I rubbed my eyes. "Are we here already?"

"Yep," Jungkook said. "Plane landed ten minutes ago."

"Are you deaf?" Yoongi grunted beside him. "We've been telling you."

We exited the plane, and that's when the chaos started.

Flashing lights. Screaming fans. Shoving. I felt the crowd press in, overwhelming me. I got separated from the group, heart pounding as I stumbled into the middle of a blur of faces and camera lenses.

Then—

"Y/N!" someone shouted.

A familiar voice. I turned and saw her — Ashley, my best friend from high school, waving like a lunatic.

Relief flooded me. I pushed through and ran into her arms.

"Oh my God!" I squealed. "It's really you!"

"You've changed so much! You look like a whole celebrity!" she said, squishing my cheeks.

"I missed you so much."

Another pair of arms tackled me — Athena.

"You lost your brother, huh? It's okay. You got us now, baby!"

I was laughing, crying a little, overwhelmed in the best way.

Then someone grabbed my wrist.

Startled, I yanked my hand away and turned, ready to throw hands.

Jungkook.

His glare softened when he saw who I was with.

"Who are they?" he asked.

"My friends."

"NO WAY!" Chloe gasped. "Is that Jungkook?! Your boyfriend?!"

"What?! No—he's not—! I mean—uh—"

Jungkook suddenly grabbed my hand again. "Let's go. Yoongi's probably freaking out."

"Wait!" I begged. "Can they come with us? Please?"

He hesitated. "Uh... sure. Use the backdoor entrance. We'll loop around and pick you up."

We slipped through the back entrance, thankfully fan-free, and hopped into the van. I watched the city lights blur past, heart full.

When we arrived at the hotel, we waited in the lobby while the manager sorted the keys.

"Who are they?" Yoongi asked, eyeing my friends.

"My high school besties," I said proudly.

"Nice to meet you," they said in unison, bowing.

"Can they stay in my room?" I asked sweetly.

Yoongi exhaled. "Do I even have a choice?"

"Nope!" I beamed.

"Fine," he muttered. "Just no wild parties."

"Thanks, oppa!"
