Finally it was the day Harrison had been waiting for. His 21st birthday. Like any normal 21 year old, he was going to celebrate by going to a club with his friends to legally order alcohol and dance until his feet hurt. At the moment he and his friends, Leo, Rowan and Sea, were piled into an Uber on their way to On The Rocks. A popular bar lounge and club downtown. Everyone was very excited and quite loud to be honest but they didn't care. "Okay, Harrison, I know that we're all going out together but if you happen to meet a fine person and want to celebrate with them privately, none of us object to that." Leo stated a bit lazily. Apparently he, having already been 21, started the party a little bit early. He wasn't totally gone but enough to notice. Harrison laughed and shook his head. "Thanks guys but I think I just want to celebrate with you! You're my best friends and I want to spend my birthday with you." There was a chorus of 'aww' through the car, even the driver was smiling. The gang chatted a bit more before being interrupted by the car stopping. "Okay, be safe and Happy Birthday kid." The driver said to Harrison and he smiled. "Thanks! Have a good night." Everyone exited the packed car, thankful to be out of the small space. It was hard squeezing 4 people in 3 seats but they did it. Everyone was about to go in when Rowan stopped them, "wait, everyone remember our safety word? If anyone is making you uncomfortable or you need to leave, you come to me and say 'the hippogriff is flying.' Okay?" Everyone smiled and nodded in affirmation. That was Rowan for you. She was fairly silly but could kick ass if needed. She volunteered to not drink so she could watch over everyone and make sure they didn't get too drunk. Because everyone remembers what happened last time she wasn't there..and they didn't wanna wake up in the mall jail again. "Okay now let's party!" Leo proclaimed and everyone cheered. After showing their id's to the bouncer, they were all let in. Immediately loud music was pumping through speakers by the DJ booth with a massive crowd of people dancing. It was quite packed for being only 11pm. "So drinks first?" Sea asked/yelled. Everyone agreed and they sauntered their way to the bar. They had to shove through several people and wait in a small line before they could actually get to the counter. Harrison finally got a view of the bartender and JesusMaryAnneJoseph this man was beautiful. He had blonde bangs hanging above a pair of round glasses. He was dressed in a vest and button down and his slim figure made Harrison's heart beat a little faster. His cheeks flushed a rosy pink when he realized he had been staring. "What can I get for you?" He somehow managed to speak in a gentle voice even though it was louder than hell in there. "Uh..." Harrison had planned a whole list of drinks he wanted to try but with this mans beautiful eyes tearing through him, he couldn't think. "Surprise me?" He managed to speak out. The bartender smirked and turned to make whatever concoction he thought of. He turned to Leo, "okay I might've changed my mind about wanting to stay with you guys the whole night." He laughed and patted Harrison's shoulder. "I knew it...good luck with that, I'm going to go dance with Rowan." Harrison nodded and watched them leave. Now it was only him and Sea at the bar. The beautiful blonde turned back around carrying a tall glass with a pink and tan liquid inside. "Here handsome." He winked. Harrison gathered a bit of courage and replied, "Handsome? Me? Pssh" The man chuckled and turned to make drinks for the people next to them. After about a quarter of the drink was gone, he convinced Sea to go dance with him. The original plan was to find Leo and Rowan but there were too many people to try and get through so they just stayed on the outskirts.

Many trips back to the bar and embarrassing dance moves later, Harrison had found himself pinned between a woman in a silk pink dress, who was basically grinding against everyone which I guess classified as 'dancing', and a man wearing almost nothing on top and slacks, in front of Harrison facing him. Somewhere in the night he lost Sea, vaguely remembering something about..either going to the lounge and getting food or a hot dude. Either way, Harrison was alone and the room was spinning. He didn't really have that much to drink but with the lights and loud music, plus everyone so close together, it was hard to focus on anything. All the sudden he started getting dizzy and backed up a little bit. He felt his foot slip off the ledge of the dance floor and fully expected to face plant with the ground. Instead he opened his eyes that he had shut tight in fear, to arms holding him up. He looked up and saw a vaguely familiar face. "Woah there, be careful. Don't hurt yourself now." That voice, he recognized it as the bartenders. For the last few hours Harrison had been severed by this attractive man, who had admittedly been keeping a close eye on him. "It's a good thing my shift just ended or you might've had a stern conversation with the floor." Harrison's ears flushed, from embarrassment or the alcohol..who can tell? "Yeah t-thanks." He stumbled over his words when he realized he was still being held by the gorgeous man. He stood up normally brushed himself off, trying to play it cool. He cleared his throat before realizing that somehow he had spilled what was left of his drink on himself. "Oh damn...eww it's gonna be sticky now. Ugh!" The blonde laughed maybe a little too loud which made Harrison's blush spread. "Hey you can't go around wearing that. Come in back with me and we'll get you cleaned up okay?" He didn't give Harrison any time to answer before dragging him to a door behind the bar that said 'employees only.' He pulled the Burnett's through the doors and into a small hallway that led to another door. He led him inside and found their selves in what looks almost like a small living room. Almost all the sound was blocked out as well, only a small echo from the party next door could be heard. "This is the employee lounge where we hang out on breaks and go before and after shifts, so we don't have to go through the crowd of people outside." The bartender explained. "You won't get in trouble for letting me back here will you?" Harrison fumbled with the buttons on his soaked shirt. The man chuckled, "Of course not. This is also where we're supposed to take someone if they're too drunk and we need to call them an Uber or if someone blacks out so it should be fine." He went to a locker with the name 'Dolan M' on it. Harrison watched him open it and pull out a towel. "Dolan?" The blonde looked up and raised an eyebrow. "Is that your name? Dolan?" He nodded, "Yeah it is." Harrison shrugged, "That's a cool name I haven't heard it before." Dolan smiled for a brief moment before walking over and standing right in front of Harrison. "Alright strip." Harrison almost choked on nothing. "Ex-excuse me?" His face was really heating up now, and it was even more noticeable since they were in normal lighting. "Well if you want to clean that, you'll have to take your shirt off?" Harrison laughed awkwardly, "Oh..yeah right." Even before drinking he thought this man was attractive but even more so now, given the situation. Plus the alcohol flowing through him, was not helping at all. Dolan smirked, "What? Are you that embarrassed that you can't take your shirt off in front of another man?" He teased, having a little fun with him. The flushed boy got a grumpy look on his face with his eyebrows furrowed but honestly? it was more adorable than anything. "No! I'm not embarrassed!" He grumbled and Dolan just laughed. "Take it off then." Harrison gulped before mustering up as much courage as possible and started unbuttoning his shirt. He could feel Dolans eyes burning into his skin, which of course only made him hotter. Once he finally undid all the buttons, he pulled his shirt off his shoulders and pulled his arms out. Once it was off completely, he threw it down on the arm of the black leather couch. He watched as the mans beautiful green eyes seemed to take in every inch of him. "Um, thank you." Harrison said softly, trying to break his gaze from his chest. Thankfully it worked and Dolan looked back up at him. If he had stared any longer, Harrison thought he would've died of embarrassment. He reached out for the towel but Dolan moved it back just slightly as of saying don't take it. "Here-" his eyes dropped back down to his chest, glistening slightly from the spilled drink. "I'll do it." He took the towel and ran it under the warm water in the sink for a brief moment before turning back and gently dragging it across where the drink spilled. A small gasp left Harrison's lips. Dolan continued to gently wipe up all the residue until there was nothing left. He stood up straight and threw the towel into a basket with other clothes that had been stained from drinks. Then the two just stood there in silence gazing at eachother. It was strange, they both seemed to feel a strong connection to eachother yet this was the first they'd ever met. Harrison felt his hands and knees shaking, in anxiousness about what would happen next. His heart beat hard in his chest and as he stared at the blonde he wondered if he was feeling the same way.
The answer to his question? Yes.
Dolan however didn't deal with anticipation very well. So, in a very rushed movement, he grabbed the boys hips and pulled his bare chest against him. Not even a second went by before he pulled him in to kiss him hard. Harrison was shocked, and it showed. His lips parted and eyes wide, he just stood there frozen. Dolan however, used his shock against him by slipping his tongue straight in, wasting absolutely no time in engaging him in a full on make out. After weighing the pros and cons, Harrison said fuck it and kissed him back just as passionately. The twos lips molded together in perfect harmony..well kind of. Because of Harrison's nerves and Dolans urgency, it was a little sloppy but neither of them cared one bit. Unfortunately it was over before it had started. Dolan may have felt a very strong attraction but he was not going to nail some barely legal boy at his place of work. So he pulled away and Harrison took a second or two..or ten to catch his breath. "Woah.." Dolan laughed and reached forward placing his hand on the boys backside. "Woah! Hey!" Harrison gasped but by the time he turned to look at Dolan, he realized he had grabbed his phone from his back pocket. He typed his number in and returned the phone. "That's so you can return my shirt." He held out one of his spare shirts he grabbed from his locker and with shaky hands, the smaller boy took it and slipped it over his head. "Thank you..I'll give it back as soon as I can." Dolan smiled and landed one last kiss on his forehead. "Get back out there, I'm sure your friends are looking for you." Harrison was still processing everything that just happened, but he nodded and said goodbye to Dolan. Right as he was about to leave, Dolan called his name. "By the way..Happy Birthday." He shot him a wink and left. Harrison walked slowly back out to find all his friends frantically looking for him. "Hey guys-"
