Deadly and Unexpected Love

Four years ago

"Sophia and I had met in our senior year of high school. She had just transferred and needed a help finding her way around classes. I was helping out in the main office around this time as punishment from coming late and was asked to show her around. When I first set my eyes on her I knew I was not going to be able to look away. She had the most beautiful smile and inviting eyes I've ever seen. She still takes my breathe away every time I look at her." Our guest awe as I listen to Elliot continue his speech.

"After that day, I practically became like a gum stuck under her shoe. I would not leave her side because I just had to have her. I'm so glad she didn't find me annoying because I swear I followed her around like a lost puppy. I fell in love with her without any warning. I knew then she was gonna be the only one for me and today i can finally be able to proudly say that she is my wife." As Elliot finishes his speech he looks at me and kisses me as the guest cheer and congratulate us for our marriage. Now it was my turn to speak.

" I like to believe that I was so lucky to have met a guy who loves me more than I could imagine. Elliot is so caring and loving and unapologetic about it. What I love about him is that he shows this to everyone and not just me. You should see how he is with animals. I think he might like his dog Cherry more than me" I joke as Elliot and everyone laugh. " When he asked me to marry him when we graduated from college, I didn't even need to think about it. I knew he would be there for me and love me for eternity so I said yes. I'd be dumb to let this man go because no one could ever love me more. So thank you Eli for making me the luckiest women on this planet You are all I need in my life." I finish my speech and stand with the man I will spend the rest of my life with.

Or so I thought...

I thought all I needed to be happy was someone to love me, someone safe. But sometimes what you think you need isn't what you want. If only I had realized this beforehand and prevented all the pain I brought into our lives. But then again, without this pain we wouldn't have been able to become the people we were truly meant to be.
