It's the first day of my last year of school today. I'm honestly not looking forward to seeing anyone, not even my friends. I mean I do love them but I don't feel the need to see them to appreciate them. I just find its best seeing each other once a month or so. It's too much everyday. I don't know. I just don't like socializing I guess. I prefer being alone.

As I walk to school I put in my ear buds and listen to music. This keeps me distracted from thinking about the awful day I'm gonna have. It's a beautiful day though, barely a cloud in sight with the blaring sun scorching down on me.

As I reach the school I sigh. Looking down, I make my way through the crowd of peasants positioned by the entrance.

I'm early so I just wait by my locker until the bell rings.

"Alex!" I hear someone yell down the hall.
I turn around and see one of my friends, Wren, walk towards me.
"HEY Wren!!" I half say, half yell. "How were your holidays?"
"They were alright, kinda boring tho." She replies.
Can't relate. I'm bored now cause your boring. Everyone here is boring.
"Haha, yeah same" I say anyway.

Just as we dive right into meaningless holiday story-telling, the bell rings and we head off to class.

At lunch I find my friends all together laughing and talking too loudly. I sigh and approach.

"HEY ALEX" I am greeted before I greet.
"Hey guys" I then greet.
Then the conversations prior to my presence reoccur and I am left to choose one to join in on.

Basically I have a choice of either Wren and Jon talking about all his crushes, Annie and Brin talking about boys and the too close for their own good couple, Ally and Jayden. Well their conversation didn't really involve a lot of talking. Just a lot of PDA. Ughh.
I decide to stick with Wren and Jon since they are my best friends from the group anyway.

Well I was trying to get insight into Jons latest lady love but the constant noises coming from Ally and Jayden were a huge distraction. Usually I can block them out but today, it was bothering me a bit too much.

Since Ally got with Jayden she's been hard to talk to. She's always with him and it's hard to get a word in. I mean we've never really been heaps close but we used to talk. Sometimes at least. I feel like if she wasn't so obsessed with Jayden then maybe we'd actually be really good friends. She seems to be really fun when it's just her.

The bell rings and we all split off to our last class. I've got music with Wren and Ally. It's actually my favorite subject since I play guitar alone in the corner most lessons. The teacher isn't particularly motivated.

Half an hour in, I hear someone singing in the main room. Instantly I know it's Ally. She's got the most beautiful voice ever. Wrens is alright as well I guess. I'm drawn closer to the source of the sound and find myself with the other students, watching Ally. She looks shy, almost trying to hide behind her blond hair, the same color as mine although much longer. As if she can sense me staring, she catches my blue eyes with her own, but quickly looks down. I keep staring. My stomach feels a little weird. Every time I catch a glimpse of her eyes on me, my heart does a weird thing.. wait. What?
I think I like her.. oh no.
