Secret Garden [Kanata Hongo]

PLOT: Biology researcher and Flower shop owner, Kanata Hongo, bump into a foreign Agricultural Engineer student, named Sarah Sandval, and instantly fell in love with her. He instantly want to know more about her, and become more than her friend, but her lover.

It's a hot summer afternoon, and Kanata had a lot of work to do inside their flower shop. Suddenly, he receive a call from her mother. Kanata answered it, but it went off very quickly.

I wonder why she called? Kanata thought.

Kanata once again grab his phone, and this time, he called his mother. Finally, her mother answer his call.

"Oh, Kanata -san. Why did you called ?" Her mother asked.

"You call earlier? What is it?" Kanata asked her mother straightly.

"Oh, I was wondering if you will go home early, but I think I disturb you, do I?" Her mother answered and explain to it very briefly.

"Iiee, you don't bother me at all." Kanata laughs. "I will go home as early as I could. By the way, did you get a lot of rest."

Once again, her mother answered very briefly, but cheerfully. "Yes, I get a lot of rest..."

"She was acting sick so that you can give her a lot of tender loving care !!" His brother, Mikko, shouted in the background.

Kanata laugh very loudly. He asked his mother, "Is that true?"

"Of course not! Why would I lie to you?" his mother defend herself very quickly.

"Okay, I believe in you. I will be home soon, I will close the shop now. Jyaa." Kanata said as he's saying goodbye to her mother on his phone.

After that conversation, he did close the shop, and ride his way home using a motorcycle, but before that, Kanata bumped into a young lady, whose running on the sidewalk like all day long.

"Sumimasen!!"  The young lady bows, and apologized to Kanata.

The young lady hurriedly ran again. Kanata was so starstruck, he was about to ask her name, but before that, she vanished, like a wind.

After he eats dinner at home, Kanata went to his thinking area, the roof garden. There, he lie on the swing, and look at the stars. He try to remember the face of the young lady, and he remembered it very well.

Her forehead was covered with bangs, and her eyes seems so sparkly. She's also fair, but not as fair as the American, or other Japanese girls. Hers was like ... different. Her round cheeks was rosy due to cold weather, but it complements her pink lipstick, which is her only make-up. Finally, her hair was charcoal black, that top off her natural beauty. A beauty that leaves Kanata speechless.

I wonder if I will see her again. Kanata thought as he gaze the stars.

Suddenly, her mother went to their roof garden. She look at her speechless son. She broke his silence by asking him a typical question.

"What is my son thinking tonight?" She asked sweetly.

Kanata went up and sit down. His mother sit beside him. Kanata started to 'fess up to her.

"Earlier, Before I left the shop, I bump into this beautiful lady. It was weird, but I became silent when I saw her."

"You like her, don't you?" His mother guessed.
