"Princess."

"Yes, Virgo?"

"Your father wants you in his office."

"Okay."

[Lucy's POV]

Of course he never calls me, but when he does, it's always something about him marrying me off to one of those jerks whose entire lives are focused on money and pride.

Here I go.

"Father, you asked for me?" I asked my father as he sat in his chair, looking out the window. "Yes," my father responded. "I asked you to come here to talk about something."

"Yes, father?"

"You do realize that you're eighteen?"

"Yes."

"And it's the year of marriage, correct?"

Maybe in your mind, but not mine, father.

I sighed and gave in anyways. "Yes, father."

"Well," he continued, "today, we are having a guest and his son come to visit. His son is going to ask for your hand in marriage, and, of course, you are going to say yes."

"But father, what about-"

He cut me off with, "Lucy, it's not just for the company or the money, but for YOUR future and wealth."

"No, father! I don't want-"

I was cut off again. He took on a forceful and stern tone. "Lucy Heartfelia, I am your FATHER, and I'm ordering you to GO AND GET READY!"

I cringed. "Yes, father," was all that I knew to say.

Like hell I was going to this meeting.

"Oh, and Lucy," he called, "don't even think about running away. Since you were away for a week last time, I ordered more guards to keep watch and capture you if they see you trying to escape. You are coming to this meeting, and you are going to politely receive our guests and consent to marriage, understood?"

"Yes."

No.

"Okay," he dismissed me, "you are free to go."

I walked out of my father's office but stormed to my room. "Let's see who's going to the meeting, father," I grumbled to myself.

"Virgo, I need you!" I called.

Virgo materialized out of thin air with sparkles of golden light surrounding her. "Princess, you called?" she asked.

"Did my father tell you not to let me go?" I asked.

"Yes," she replied, "but I will allow you to leave if you wish."

"But if you do that, you'll get fired!" I exclaimed.

"My main concern is my princess, and if you weren't here, I wouldn't work here. Neither would Leo and the others."

I smiled warmly. "Thank you, Virgo. But I won't let you get fired. I'll just think for a moment." Virgo nodded and disappeared.

"Boyfriend-less," I heard behind me. I whirled around to see Aquarius leaning on a pillar. "Huh?" I asked.

"I'll let you go run away for a while," she said.

"But how, Aquarius?" I inquired.

"Your father asked me to talk to the guards about something. While I'm chatting, you can slip out unnoticed."

"Wouldn't they know I'm going to run?" I asked.

"Most likely," Aquarius responded. "That's why I'm dressing you up as a nerd. When you're out, you can get back into your regular clothes." She was totally taking advantage of me.

I sighed. "Why are you even helping me?" I asked. Aquarius just said, "We're going now," and began to dissipate.

"Answer me, Aquarius!" I insisted.

"I will answer when the time comes, okay, Lucy?" was all she said before she was completely gone.

Did she just say my name?
