Unexpected events

It Begins

As I walk through the dark and mysterious forest I cant help but be amazed by the beauty and the silence which surrounds me, others may find it unsettling but I am instantly absorbed by the sounds of the wildlife, it astonishes me how beautiful the world can be. All of a sudden a plane flies overhead as it heads towards the town that's when i hear the deafening sounds of bombs dropping and the whole sky lights up in flames as the sonic vibrations shake the trees. I start running towards the town, how could this be happening and who would do such a thing, many questions raced through my mind, then suddenly i'm flying through the air and I see the ground heading for me as I brace myself for impact I quickly get up and continue my way to town, everything seems in slow motion as I near the town, I see houses flattened to the ground and flames roaring through houses causing a thick black smoke to cover the town, Nobody can be seen, that is until I see the first body lying in the ruins of a house, my breath hitches in my throat as i finally take in my surroundings, I begin to see body's everywhere as i feel bile rise up my throat I see the people I knew, the people I loved and the people I spent days laughing and talking with. My mind instantly goes to my own family as I leap into action racing through the streets ignoring the smoke which is burning my lungs and the heat of the fire which was everywhere.

I reach the street I lived on and it is hardly recognisable the whole street is empty, where there was once houses now stands ruins I couldnt process what was happening as I race to where my house once was, searching through the rubble for anyone anything to give me hope that they survived. Almost instantly i see her lying lifeless covered in ashes and burns I run over sobbing hoping she was alive yet she doesnt respond I check her pulse but there is nothing "please wake up, please you cant leave me now, you cant leave me all alone i need you, this world needs you" i exclaim, nothing happens as I lay there beside her looking at the once blue sky which was twinkling with stars it has now darkened nothing to be seen no light left except from the blaze around her, all seems to be lost the whole town has been murdered by whoever done this and I am determined to find out exactly who done this even if its the last thing I do.

I say my goodbyes hesitantly not wanting to leave her there, I kiss her forehead for the last time and promise her that I will find out who done this and I will make them pay. I gather anything salvageable I can find and make my way back to the forest, ill set up camp there tonight and make my way to the capital in the morning to find out exactly whats going on.
