Chapter 49 ● Holiday for some, hell for others ○

Today's the day Calum, Ashton, Luke and Michael finally leave for their holiday to Thailand. The four of them grab their baggage and call a taxi to take them to the airport.

Daphne goes to Cade's house. She knocks on his door. "Who is it?" He calls out. "Daphne" she replies. "What do you want?" He asks her. "Can we talk?" She asks a question as a reply. "Okay fine" he replies opening the door. She enters his house.

They finally reach the airport and pay the taxi driver. They take their luggage out from the back of the taxi and the driver helps them. They sit around in the waiting area for a while. After that they go though some security checks. Then some time later their plane arrives and they get in and take their seats. The plane takes off after they are comfortable in their seats.

"What do you want to talk about?" Cade asks as they take a seat on his sofa. "I think we should work together again, we make a good team" Daphne  replies to him. "This again seriously?" He asks her. "Yes, I believe we work better together, I feel lost when I do stuff on my own" she replies. "Fine, I'll give you a second chance, just don't give me boring tasks" he replies. "Yay! Thank you" she replies wrapping her arms around him. She then decides to leave after that.

The plane finally lands after hours of movies, food, drinks and more. "We're finally here!" Calum shouts excitedly. "I can't wait to get to the hotel" Michael says. They then call another taxi after they've done all the checks and everything they needed. Soon enough they arrive to their hotel.

Ugh! Why can't I reach Calum's mind? He's had a long enough break already. I should try again I suppose. Darren thinks to himself. He tries his best to at least talk to Calum using his mind control; but it seems like the connection he had to his mind is lost.

The four of them go straight to their rooms to rest. They're a bit too jet lagged right now to function properly. They manage to fall asleep within a few minutes of lying down on their hotel room beds.

I suppose I'm gonna have to get back to controlling Valley's mind until I can control Calum's again. Darren thinks to himself. He goes to Valley's house and rings her doorbell. She walks towards her door. "Who's there?" She asks. "Darren" he replies. "Why are you here?" She questions him. "I want to see you" he answers her. "Well I don't want to see you, so leave" she replies to him. "Let me in before I let myself in" he replies back to her. "I won't let you in Dare, you're nothing but danger" she responds to him. "Fine then I'll just have to let myself in" he responds back to her. He kicks at her door several times trying to break it down. She then realises what he's trying to do and decides it's better if she just gives in and lets him in herself and so she does.

The four of them then wake up one after the other. "What are we going to be doing today?" Calum asks them. "I say we go to a beach; I read that the beaches here are beautiful" Michael replies to him. "Okay then, let's look through some of the beaches we can go to" Ashton responds picking up his phone as he searches for beaches that would be the most convenient for them to go to.

"That's a good girl" Darren says stepping in. "I wouldn't have let you in if you didn't threaten to tear my precious door down" she replies to him. "Well then it's a great thing that I did" he replies to her. "Well not for me" she replies back to him. "We're gonna have a bit of fun" he tells her. "I hate the sound of that" she replies to him. "I know you do" he replies cackling after he says that.

"What about White Sand Beach?" Ashton asks them gesturing to a picture of the beach on his phone. "Sounds good" Luke replies. Calum and Michael agree. "Then it's settled" he replies back to the three of them.

Darren moves uncomfortably close to Valley. "Stay away from me!" She shouts. She moves further away from him and he doesn't stop moving closer to her. "I said stay away from me!" She shouts again. "Not gonna happen rag doll" he replies to her. "Not this again please" she replies back to him. "Aw my poor little rag doll" he responds to her cackling again after he says that. "Please can you just leave me alone Dare" she responds back. "No can do Val" he replies to her.

The four of them then change into clothes suitable to wear for the beach. After they all finish getting ready Ashton calls a taxi to take them to White Sand Beach.

Darren then moves much closer to Valley; now he's directly in front of her. He puts his hands around her head in a strange manner; until he can physically feel her thoughts in his fingertips. "Sleep well rag doll" he says to her. She falls unconscious after he says that.

The taxi arrives and they tell the driver where they are headed. After sometime they arrive to the beach. They pay the driver and walk the rest of the way until they finally reach the beach.

Valley gains back her consciousness. "You're finally awake rag doll" Darren tells her. "I hate you" she tells him. "I know you do" he replies to her. "Why did you do it again?" She asks him. "I can't reach Calum's mind" he replies to her. "So, you just decide to get back into my mind?" She questions him. "Yes, I did" he answers her.

Once they reach the beach they sit on the sand for a while. "It's so relaxing here" Luke tells them. "I know" Ashton replies to him. "Yes, It definitely is" Michael replies to him. "I think you guys were right about Dare not being able to reach me while I'm here" Calum tells them. "That's great" Ashton replies. "Now we just need to figure out how we make him lose the connection he has to my mind when we get back home" Calum says to them. "We still have time to figure that shit out; how about we just enjoy the beach for now?" Michael tells Calum. "Sure, I guess it's amazing to feel free again" he replies to him.

"Now that I've done what I came here to do I guess I should leave" Darren tells Valley. "Yes you should and never come back" she replies to him. "You know I won't listen to you and come back when I need to" he replies back to her. "Yeah, I'll just have to leave when you do come back here then" she replies to him. "See you later rag doll" he replies leaving her house.

The four of them then go in the water at the beach for a bit. They make sure not to go too far in but go far enough so that the water reaches up to their waists. They wash away most of the sand on their bodies. They also splash each other playfully. After they are done in the water they walk back to the sand and sit down on a deck chair each. The sun then begins to set so they watch the sunset.

"Don't you miss the toy box?" Darren tells Valley through her thoughts. "No, please don't send me back there" she replies to him. "I'm sorry but that's where you belong rag doll" he replies back to her. He then traps her consciousness in his mind. In his mind she's in his room and there's the toy box in the corner. "I can make you get into the toy box willingly" he tells her. "You can't make me do anything I don't want to do" she replies to him. "Ha that's what you like to think, Calum said something similar a few days ago about me making him lock himself into a cage, but he was so wrong he locked himself it it anyways" he replies to her. "You're comparing me to Calum now?" She asks him. He doesn't reply to her. He then thinks about Valley getting into the toy box; she does as he thought. "How?" She questions as she walks towards the toy box. "Your consciousness is in my mind" he answers her. She then reaches the toy box and opens it and gets into it. He then teleports to the toy box and puts the lid on it. She struggles to breathe; it's so stuffy in there, there is not much room for her, there are various other toys also in the box with her, it's really uncomfortable for her. She tries banging on the lid but she's too far from it. He then throws more random toys in the box and they land on top of her.

"Let's go back to the hotel it's getting late" Ashton tells them. "Alright" Calum replies to him. Luke and Michael agree to leave too. They call a taxi to take them back to the hotel. Once they reach the hotel they relax for a while. Then they look for Thai food takeaway and order some for themselves. After they've done eating they all go to their rooms. They then fall asleep after sometime.
