Sixteen year old Jungkook sighed as he watched Taehyung- who was now a senior- leave the school with his girlfriend again.

Irene and Taehyung had began dating about a month prior and from then on, Taehyung paid no attention to the little omega, leaving him to walk home alone with no self protection.

Nonetheless, Jungkook wouldn't confront Taehyung about it, he didn't want to risk making the tiger hybrid upset at him, knowing damn well that wouldnt go well for him.

Jungkook hugged himself as he began walking home, the icy wind tussling his hair and leaving a red tint to his chubby cheeks and little nose. Usually he would have Taehyung with him to warm him up, but Taehyung had someone better to warm up than just some dumb bunny.

Jungkook sighed, shaking away those thoughts as he entered the house, the familiar scent of cinnamon in the air.

"Jungkook! You're home!" Taeha smiled softly, petting the boy's floppy bunny ears "Where's Tae?" She frowned upon realizing the boy was alone.

"O-oh.. um... he left with his girlfriend, Irene and so I had to walk home alone.."

Taeha tisked "Well, I'm just glad you're safe" she smiled and went back to the kitchen.

Around 9pm is when Taehyung got home and was immediately greeted by his mother bombarding him with questions about where he had been and why he let Jungkook travel alone, knowing how sensitive the bunny boy was.

Taehyung rolled his eyes and slipped his shoes off "It was the last day ofschool, I just wanted to hang out with my girlfriend, is that so bad? And plus, Jungkook isn't a kid anymore, he can protect himself. I'm sick of always having to stick up for him! Maybe Baekhyun was right about what he said four years ago. Maybe he is just a waste of space." Taehyung ranted angrily.

For Jungkook it was like a replay of when he was twelve. He was stood at the top of the stairs, with fat tears threatening to spill down his face. He had never thought Taehyung would hate him this much.

So, silently, Jungkook went upstairs to his room and packed a few bags with the things he would need then slowly made his way downstairs, trying to ignore the warm feeling if tears dripping down his cheeks.

Both heads of Taehyung and Taeha turned to Jungkook, who kept his own head down. Jungkook bowed to the two and spoke shakily but quietly

"Mrs.Kim, I'd just like to thank you for taking care if me all these years, but I'd also like to apologize for invading your space. T-Taehyung, I'd also like to apologize to you for making you stick up for me all these years. I'm sorry for not being able to do it myself and I hope you guys have a great Christmas, Taehyung, happy birthday in advance and I hope your relationship with your girlfriend works out"

The omega sniffled before quickly leaving, ignoring the footsteps he heard behind him. He knew it was Taeha but he ignored her and began to walk faster.

From that day on Jungkook promised himself that he wouldn't need anyone to protect him anymore. No one needed to know he was an omega, there were alpha rabbit hybrids out there, not many, but they existed.

He made a silent agreement with himself that he would just gave to fake it 'til he made it.
