[A/N: please keep in mind that this will follow the show and very VERY few cases will come up where it's original content due to the fact that I, for the life of me, can't write mystery. Like at all. It's rough. But, I can assure you this story will progress and it will be very interesting so I really hope you stick around. There are over 100 chapters to this one and it will follow the ENTIRE show. Start to finish.

I will put warnings on particular things but this right now serves as a massive trigger warning. There are mentions of suicide, possible self harm, rape, and of course: murder. Hopefully by the time of release for this, I will have the entire thing finished so there can be constant updates. I debated on one book for a season but the lazy in me thought that would be a pain in the ass so it became one entire story. (Side note: When the end of a season comes up, I most likely take time to revise future chapters and then release it.

I hope that this will be enjoyable and not become the "My Immortal" of the Criminal Minds fandom because that would honestly suck, and I will say I can spell better than that. Comments are encouraged, especially if it's a meme because I do check for positive reactions so I know what to put. I will say this is also LOADED with angst, especially around season 12. So. There's that. If you have any constructive criticism (if your advice is: "Dude this sucks" and then give no reason as to why, that's not constructive criticism, that's you being kind of a dick. Like if it sucks, tell me why it does so I can work on it) Dm me.

Sorry for the long author's note, enjoy]

You stood in front of the BAU building, drenched in rain water. "Damn it." You grunted, pulling your bike helmet off. You stepped in, literally dripping as you did. Five seconds outside without a helmet on and you were soaked. You sighed, collecting your I.D. cards and going to a locker, sticking your helmet in as you walked into the office. "Uh...." Everyone around you paused. "So it's national baptism day, who wants in?" You asked sarcastically as the water dripped down your face. "Can someone point the way to Aaron Hotchner's office?" You sighed. "Up those stairs, first door." A man said. "Thanks." You nodded before going up the stairs. You peaked your head in. "Hi... Uh you're Aaron Hotchner right?" you asked. "I am. Just Hotch is fine." the dark haired man answered, you came in, clearing your throat. "I would sit, but I'd get literally everything soaked." You nodded. "We can get someone to get you a towel." He said. "Please. I am so cold right now." You said. Hotch called someone and a blonde woman handed you a towel. "Thank you." You nodded. She opened her mouth but didn't speak, walking out instead.

Hotch focused on you. "You were put in with us but you're not official. It all comes down to what your partner and I think of you." He warned. "Understood." You replied with a unreadable look. "Dr. Spencer Reid is your partner, my partner Jason Gideon helped make the decision." Hotch explained. "Yes sir." You nodded. "Any questions?" Hotch asked. "Who is Spencer Reid?" You asked. Again, Hotch called someone and asked them to send Reid to him. You looked around Hotch's office. "You have a son?" You asked. "I'm going to." Hotch nodded. "What's his name, if you don't mind me asking?" You asked. "We're not sure yet." Hotch said. You smiled softly and Hotch showed a small ghost of a smile before the door opened.

You turned around and there was a man with longer hair. It was neatly brushed back, his eyes were almost captivating with a light brown color. His jaw was chiseled and your lips parted slightly. Neither of you moved. "I'm Dr. Y/n L/n." You nodded. Spencer furrowed his brow, staring at you with what could only be described as captivated confusion similar to a gaze. Hotch noticed the slick boy's reaction to you, biting back a smile as Spencer stood frozen. "She's the partner." Hotch reminded him. "Oh! Oh hi, I'm Dr. Spencer Reid. Sorry, I don't... Really shake hands." He said. "It's fine, I don't either." You nodded. You squinted at him woth a hint of recognition. "Sorry did you go to Cal tech? " you asked. "Yeah, I did, why?" He asked. You snapped your fingers. "That's why I know you. Same graduating class." You said. "Ah." Spencer nodded.
