CHI'S POV
Let me tell you my story. Well, most of it up until I joined Konoha. It isn't meant to make you cry, or get angry. It is just a simple story, meant for only some people to know. This story is important,a tale of love and hatred. Loss and pain. Anger and beauty. This is my parents story, as well as mine. My mother and fathers love and beauty. The clans hatred. My brothers pain. And my loss, as well as my anger.
STORY STARTS NOW
There was once a girl. She was a simple beauty, with red hair and dark blue eyes. She was from a small, well known clan, that specialized in their own fighting skills and shifting ability.
One day, the girl was sitting with her mother and father, the leaders of their small clan. The girl had been brushing her younger sisters hair, while singing to her.
"You are my sunshine, my only sunshine. You make me happy, when skies are grey. You never know dear, how much I love you. Please don't take my sunshine away." It was a song the girl often sung, because it was her favorite. It showed love, and the fight to keep your love. Though no one but her saw it. The girl had smiled as she sang, making her look like an angel.
At that moment, her father had looked up and frowned. "The Yoi are at the border again. You can take care of it."
The girl was used to this by now, the cold feeling her father got. But she knew he loved her, he was just shaping her to be a better leader than he was. "Of course, father." Then to her little sister. "I'll be back Aika. Then we can continue." With a swift bow, the girl was gone to deal with the other clan.
When the girl arrived, she was greeted by a full out battle.mnow, she'd been taught to hide her emotions well. But even her emotionless and cold father would get angry at this. "What is this?!" She'd bellowed in her bell like voice, gaining the attention of everyone in the clearing. Her trusted advisor, and best friend, had scrambled over knowing it wasn't good when she was mad.
"I-I told them not to. They d-didn't l-listen-" he stammered, but the girl cut him off with a wave of her hand.
"So you did not listen to your leaders second in command?" She'd asked sickly calm. Her clan-mates had known what was coming, but the other clan people didn't. "Who is the leader of this Yoi patrol now?"
As she asked, a man about her age, stepped forward. He had the usual Yoi black hair and blood red eyes, but for some reason it looked better on him. "I am, and who would you be?"
The girl had stepped up, glaring. "It is always polite to give your name first." She'd growled.
"Rin Yoi." He'd told her simply, a smirk on his face. His name meant Cold;Night.
The girl continued glaring. "I am Manami Yanaka." Her name meant Beautiful;Dweller.
The smirk on Rin's face had slipped away, to be replaced by a scowl. He was dealing with the soon-to-be leader of the Yanaka clan. He expected a young general, not this beautiful girl. Her eyes could pierce his soul, make him want to shout out all of his thoughts. "I didn't think I'd be dealing with one of the leaders. Maybe a petty general. But not a leader." He'd told Manami.
"Do not talk about my clans generals as if they are push-overs." She'd growled, her glare hardening.
"Miss, we need to get going." An older man had come up to her.
"Not now Tadashi. Take the guards and go. I'll see you there." Manami had commanded in a smooth voice. With a swift wave of his hand, Rin had told his clan-mates the same. When no ninja was around, Rin smiled.
"You Yanaka are so modest. You talk far too much, also." He'd told Manami, just to anger her.
She'd stepped forward. "At least we're not blood thirsty maniacs like the Yoi." She'd insulted.
That had ticked Rin off. Here stepped forward until they were only inches apart. "You know nothing." He'd hissed.
Manami smirked. "I know enough. Now if you'd excuse me, I have a clan to take care of, while you probably have a dark hole to sit in." With that she'd spun around and stalked away.
"I hope. To see you again, Manami Yanaka." Rin couldn't stop himself from calling. This odd girl was mesmerizing, different clan or not. Manami had spun around at the last moment. Then she'd stuck both of her middle fingers in the air and flipped Rin off. After that, she was gone.
And that was only the beginning.
