I'm walking down the hallway and I see my best friend Melanie, I call her Mel for short. She was standing next to my locker looking a little shaky.
"What's wrong Mel?" I asked her.
"My mom got a new job." Mel said.
"That's great! Why do you look so nervous?" I said.
"I have to move to Colorado." She said with a sad look on her face.
"Nuuuuuuu!!!" I responded while I held my arms out for a hug.
We both start crying when eventually the bell rings and we both have to head to class. I walked slowly to my next class, history, just thinking about how I'm going to make it threw high school without her.
"Ms. Jacobs, why are you late?" Mr. Hannes asked me.
"I'm sorry sir it won't happen again."
