Kimmy awoken to a loud noise. Dried drool on her left cheek to ear smelled. Smelled of morning breath. Morning dew filtered the air. Smothered between her fluffy white pillows gazing at the ceiling. Cluck. "Ou." Kimmy sighed softly. The phone clucked her a top her head. She pulled it from over her head taking the receiver hanging up the phone and placed it back on the lamp shade desk by the bed. Squinting her eyes half woke, trying to figure out the noise she'd awoken to. Climbing her dry face to her feet. Kimmy veered out the window saw Cullen tossing the ball in the air yelling out Freckle's name. She turned her view to see a man with a chainsaw in the tree. An average lean muscle white 30 year old man in overalls, safety glasses, ear plugs, short sleeves, thick gloves and orange safety vest trim the branches. Two strong masculine black men in orange safety vest were tossing twigs, shrubs and small branches in the shredder. They all had shredded compost stuck to them. Great. This house needs more sunshine. More life. Maybe it'll look like all the other houses now. Maybe the sun will brighten things up around here. She saw mom talking to one of the contractors walking across the lawn. "Freckles! Freeeeckles!" Cullen still was yelling. "Where's that stupid dog?" Cullen spilled with frustration. Kimmy hopped off the prop down the hall to the bathroom. Washed her face, brushed her teeth and brushed her hair back. Rushing outside. Taking in a warm breath of dew air. "Where is he?" Kimmy stood on the cracky porch watching Cullen walk pass yell over all the noise. Two big fellows called to each other. "1, 2, 3, push . Get 'em up. Poof!" Puffing hard. Dust particles filtered the air. Tossing a huge branch into the shredder. The man on the lawn mower road to the rhythm of his head phones cutting the corner on the side of the house out of site. Cullen walked to the end of the driveway peering both ways. Hoping maybe Freckles would luckily come running up the street. The porch rumbled under her feet from the grumbling of the shredder drowning the wails of Cullen calling Freckles. Kimmy eyes widened. Is my mind playing tricks on me again? Am I really seeing what I'm seeing? Or am I still sleepy? Nuh nuh no way. Kimmy slowly stepped off the porch to get a better view. Hoping she wasn't mistaken. It looked like The big strong men eyes were fiery red. Sweat watered down their face and arms. Kimmy slowly took another step closer. The men kept working as if nothing mattered. Her face passion red watched, getting intense. Her trembling legs still in sleepers covered in shreds. Staring in their blazing eyes shoving the hideous into the shredder. Her face blossom red smelling dead agony. Swallowing dead air. Oh no what are you doing? No one paid attention. Mom went to work as usual. Cullen kept yelling. "Freckles! Freeekles! Here boy!" The man in the tree kept chainsawing. Part of the noise. That annoying chainsaw kept hurling whirling crackle through wood. Oh gross. I feel dizzy. Light headed. Kerplunk. Another one. Kerplunk, and another one. The big dark skinned man with a patch over his left eye had what appeared to be a covered scar. He picked up another one. Shoving it into the shredder. Veins bulked out of their bulging arms. I see it. Now I know I see it? She saw them shoving human arms into the shredder one after another. They were everywhere. Blood oozed out the other end dripping off the edge of the plank. The other man had an ax and chisel tattoo crossing one over the other in the form of an x. With a firm grip tossing bloody arms from the pile of yuck into the shredder. Kimmy stood froze in disbelief. The hair on my neck stood up. My shoulders were weak. "Noooo! Can't be? Why is this happening? Why did we come here? Ahhh! Go away! Ahhh! Go, away!" Falling to her knees wailing in a pool of blood. Blood kept spurting. Not caring anymore, she let out a horrifying scream. But no one paid attention. Everyone acted as if everything was normal. Why me? Are you seeing this? As if talking to another person. Tears poured down her swollen cheeks. "Oh please, stop. Just stop. Her bottom lip quivered. She scream so loud her throat hurt. "Get out!" Trembling with fear. The man in the tree stopped cutting. Deadening the noisy chainsaw. Turning his attention her way giving her a glassy look. The shredder went dead and the two men turned her direction. Blood dripped from their covered arms to their fingertips. The man started climbing out the tree, keeping those glassy eyes hooked. The two men dropped the bloody human arms and began for Kimmy. "No wait? Wait a minute? What's this?" Walking slow with a creepy look right toward Kimmy. "Um, guys. What are you doing? " Eww uha ahu humm." They chanted in unison. Like they were possessed. Cullen kept wailing for Freckles down the driveway. Somebody help me? I can't move. It feels like something's holding my shoulders in place. I can't get up. A cold chill brushed the back of her neck making her hair flutter. Dabbed in blood making her hair smooth down her back. She couldn't get up. She tried but couldn't move. The evil was getting closer. She couldn't escape the evil pool of blood. She couldn't talk or move. They kept chanting - "kill kill kill." Over and over. Hands extended in the midst of the dead dew decay smell. Closer closer closer. Trapping her in the middle of the circle with their hands in the air in a circular motion swaying back and forth circling around her chant; "uha ahu humm." "Noooooo!" Kimmy finally managed to let out a loud shrill scream but still couldn't move. With their hands held high chanting in a bloody pool of decay foul bones and human arms.
