Chapter-10

Some goons came from behind and hit Neil on his head. They were about to punch him when they saw his bodyguards coming. They ran from there to prevent being caught.
Avni was too stunned to even react. She soon gained her composure and took him to the hospital while Neil's bodyguards went behind the goons.

Doc : He is fine. Only minor injuries are there. He'll recover within 2-3 days.

Avni: Thank you doctor.

Avni went inside to meet Neil. He had bandages around his forehead. He opened his eyes and their eyes met, he could see  care in them.

He held her hands and said, "From today's incident I have realized that time doesn't wait for anyone. So I just want to tell you that you're really important for me . Avni I really like you."

She couldn't help but say, "Feelings are mutual."

Neil was discharged after 2 days. All this time Avni was there with him. She made him eat all his medicines and fruits while he could only admire her.

Later he got to know that the goons were sent by Mr. Sharma.
During these days Neil and Avni started coming closer to each other unknowingly.

Avni had finally realized her love for Neil.
She went to meet him but the scene in front of her made her feel cheated.

A girl was hugging Neil, she kissed him on his cheeks.
Avni couldn't take it and she ran away from there.

Maybe he never loved her,
Maybe it was just one sided love,
Maybe he was just flirting with her.

Numerous thoughts were going in her mind right now. She was not in a condition to make any assumptions of what she had seen.

Avni's POV

He said that he doesn't have any girlfriend. Then who was that girl? There are so many questions but no answers .
I just need a break from all this.
I came here to work on my book so I should concentrate on it.

Here Neil was getting worried as Avni was not picking his calls.

He was pissed off with Mithali. They became friends in college but later he got to know that Mithali had a crush on him so he started keeping a distance from her.
He only thought of her as a friend so when she kissed him today he lost his  control and shouted on her.

He had realized his love for Avni, he wanted to confess it to her ASAP but here she wasn't even picking up his calls. He thought to take Ali's help.

'Why is Ali calling me at this hour' she thought. Nevertheless she picked up his call.

Ali: Avni I'm organizing a party tomorrow. So you have to come and you can't say no.

Avni: Ali, I'm sorry but I think I'll not be able to come.
She knew that Neil would also be there and she didn't want to face him.

Ali: Avni I thought we are friends but you....

"Okay, okay I'll be there, you don't need to do any drama" she said while cutting him off.

Ali: See you tomorrow and yeah it's a masquerade party.

'Thank God it's a masquerade party. I don't need to worry much. Everyone would be wearing a mask so he won't be able to find me' she thought and slept while thinking about Neil.

Neil's POV

Tomorrow I'm going to confess my love to Avni. I just can't wait to see her. Oh God!! finally I'm in love. Gosh I want to hold her till eternity and never let her go.

He slept while thinking about Avni with a smile on his face.
