12 |Secrets

Yoongi's POV

The bright rays of the sun woke me up from the deep sleep I was in. I slowly fluttered my eyes open only for me to squint them because of the harsh sunlight.

I decided to look for a clock in the room and found one at a corner telling me it was 12:30 in the afternoon.

I woke up to see Somin just sitting down on the bed and reading some book she must've gotten off the side.

I cleared my throat and said, "So umm Viper, aren't we going to talk about last night?"

She looked at me with a dead look on her face and said, "No."

I was shocked at her words. She became a completely different person from how I saw her last night.

The way she was so submissive to my touch and the fire that lit between us last night.

She built up a wall and I don't even know why.

"Why not?", I said , showing her that I was a little irritated with her response.

She shrugged and continued to read her book. She seemed so unfazed and it infuriated me. This made me slap the book out of her hand.

She was irritated by what I did so she looked at me sharply and said, "What's your problem?!"

I laughed sarcastically and said, "What's my problem?! More like what's your problem! Why are you acting like nothing happened last night?!"

"Because nothing did happen last night", she said coldly and I was frustrated with how she was acting.

"You can't deny shit right now Viper! We fucking made out last night! Hell! We almost had sex! And that was nothing?!", I yelled and it clearly bothered her now.

Her once stone cold face filled with anger. She stood up from the bed making me stand up too then she said, "I would like to believe nothing happened because whatever we did last night should have never happened!"

"Why are you being like this?! I've always been there for you and I've never treated you wrong!", I yelled back at her and she seemed to only be angry at me.

"I stayed behind in Nephilia yesterday knowing full well I could die because I could not have a peace of mind knowing you were their prisoner!", I shouted again but her expression did not soften.

"I would die for you Hwang Somin", I said but she twitched at the mention of her real name.

I was expecting for her to yell at me for calling her by her real name and not her alias. To my surprise, she didn't.

She instead said, "What makes you dying for me special? It is your job anyways."

I was shocked at her words, she never looked down on me in this way. I punched the wall in frustration then I looked at her and said, "Why are you denying your feelings SOMIN?!"

"It's Viper to you! Know your place Colubrid!", she harshly said and I was taken aback.

"Don't change the subject, I can read you and I know you're denying your feelings", I said and she froze at my words.

I slowly went up to her and closed the distance between us. I looked at her and said, "Tell me, just tell me how you feel."

She shook her head and said, "Min Yoongi, you know that I feel something but I don't want to act upon it."

I looked at her confused and her eyes began to water, "I can't trust anyone with how I feel, no matter how much I know you, I can never predict whether you'll toy with me or not."
