Hello my lovelies, this is a new story I'm writing. It takes place after Author 'dies'. Except in my version author doesn't die. He stays king and accepts magic into the kingdom.

Merlin POV

Ugh! Arthur is hunting again, it is always sickening to me how he takes delight in killing things. But every time he almost gets one, I 'accidentally' let it get away. I don't honestly know why he keeps bringing me on hunting trips. I stepped over the log fallowing the prat into a clearing. There in broad daylight was a wolf. It was beautiful, it had light baby blue fur along it's body and white furred paws. As we crept up on the beast I noticed it wasn't sleeping. The wolf was dead, author inspected the wolf closely. "Poachers" he said suddenly with a scowl. "This is the protected area. Only Gwen and I can come in here. No one was to kill anything!" Arthur was annoyed, after he returned from nearly dieing. He allowed magic into the kingdom. He later set aside some land for him and Gwen so they could have a place to be alone. She gardened and tended to it if she wished otherwise maids would tend to it. ( No they weren't hunting there, Merlin and author were only passing through the garden to see if Gwen was there. They had just come back from a failed hunting trip and author was annoyed.) Suddenly a branch snapped behind the beautiful creature. We both jumped to our feet author sword in hand and walked cautiously to the forest edge.  Suddenly a girl, maybe about 5'4, stepped out and rushed past us. She fell to her knees next to the wolf. "Mother!" She exclaimed as she hugged the late wolf. " Who are you and why are you here?" Author demanded, the girl turned to us and pulled the hood off her head. The hood now gone showed two big fluffy ears, both the girl's ears and her hair were the same shade of blue the wolf on the ground wore. The only change was that the tips of the girls ears were white and the ends of her hair as well. Only after we stopped staring did I notice she was silently crying "M-my name is Mirajane your highness." She wiped tears from her cheeks. "Why- are you alright?" I start to ask why she was here but stopped when more tears fell from her dark blue eyes. She looked back to the wolf. Her wolf ears flattened to her head. Her cloak covered most of her body. She whimpered and more tears fell as she started to speak. "My mother and I lived here but I left the area to hunt for food. When I came back I heard my mother scream. I ran to help her but she was g-gone. All I could do was chase off the man who killed her." Arthur dropped his sword he had pointed at the girl. "You live here?" Arthur said obviously confused. She nodded, slowly she stood up straight. Then she started to glow a dim light, when we were able to look again she was gone. In her place was a wolf similar to the one on the ground. She walked up to us and nuzzled our legs. Hesitantly we both bent down to pet her. (I know wolves don't purr, and cats do. But I don't know what the wolves would make instead so deal with it.) She quietly purred. Then we heard her speak. 'Im speaking to you through your heads.' she said calmly. We both jumped up in surprise. "How are you in our heads?" Arthur asked startled. 'To you it's called magic to me it's an ability.' She shifted back to her human form. "Is this better?" She smiled sadly. We nodded. "Do you wish to burry your mother and come to the castle?" Arthur asked sympathetically, She nodded and giggled slightly. "What's funny?" I asked confused. What is funny about this situation? "I don't know your name but you know mine." Suddenly I felt stupid, apparently so did Arthur because he laughed too slightly embarrassed. "Right Mirajane-" Mirajane cut author off. "Mira is fine sir." Arthur nodded, "Yes alright well, Mira. This is my manservant Merlin, he is completely useless. I am king Arthur Pendragon." The prat smiled as he introduced me. The girl's tears had dried by now. She looked at me with amazement. "Your the young man he was talking about!" Arthur started to gloat about himself until he noticed she was referring to me. "Merlin!?" Arthur looked at me confused.

Mira POV

It was the man from the prophecy! "Gaius told me about you!" I said happily. The king sighed, "That makes sense." He muttered. I chuckled pushing my pain and saddness to the back of my mind. I turned around and stood next to my late mother. Holding back tears I moved her to the base of a tree. "This was mother's favorite tree." I turned back to my wolf form and dug a grave for her. Turning back to a human, I knelt down and placed my mother in the ground. Slowly I started to cover her over. Once finished I stood up. "Merlin, Arthur, do you think you could stay here while I grab some flowers?" I asked hesitantly. They nodded, I walked back into the forest and gathered some flowers. Beautiful blue ones as well as some red ones. I returned to see that Merlin also had a flower in his hand. It was a bright white flower. I smiled sadly and placed them on top of the dirt. I also put the flat rock I had found at the top to have as a headstone. I quietly murmured some thanks to her and turned to the men with me. Merlin placed the flower next to mine and we turned to Arthur. "Let's go." I said hiding my pain. They both nodded and we walked in silence back to the castle.
...
When we got there I gasped, the castle was huge. The boys chuckled at my amazement. My tail wagged from side to side under my cloak. We entered the castle and author guided me to my guest room. "You may stay here. But is there anything you can do in the castle?" I thought for a moment. "I can use herbs and fight." I said slowly, "and I can cook." I added the king nodded. "Very well you will help Gaius the court physician. And you will train to become a knight." I smiled at them in gratitude. "Thank you your highness." I entered the room and was about to close the door when he spoke again. "Oh and Mira!" I turned to Arthur. "Firstly you can call me Arthur, and second if you need anything just call for Merlin. He will help you." I giggled when Merlin grumbled under his breath. "Stupid clotpole, annoying prat!" I chuckled again. Arthur was about to call Merlin again when I called instead. "Actually, Merlin do you think you could draw me a bath?" I asked, slightly embarrassed I had never had a home before let alone a castle. I didn't know how, normally the river is where I bathe. Merlin turned pink, "S-sure, then I will have to do my chores after Mira. I will send for another maid after. She will help you with, um other stuff." Arthur chuckled and walked down the hall. "Yes don't forget to wash my clothes and polish my armor Merlin!" He called walking away. Merlin sighed and entered the bathroom after 5 or so minutes he came out. "It is ready I'll go grab you your maid, her name is Drusilla, she will help you instead of me." He left the room shutting the door.
...
Later a women with dark blue hair entered and bowed. "M'lady I am your personal maid. My name is Drusilla, I shall help you with your bath. Also please refrain from asking male servants to help you with such things." I turned pink from embarrassment. "My apologies Ms. Drusilla. I'm fairly new to human contact my only interaction was my mother." I said sadly looking at my feet. "Don't worry yourself M'lady I shall help you from now on." I nodded and she helped me with my bath. "M'lady your wolf-like features are adorable. If you don't mind my saying." I blushed and flattened my ears to my head, and my tail hiding behind me. "T-thank you Drusilla."

That's all for now my lovelies! Hope you enjoyed.
