your pov:
my alarm woke me up and i instantly regretted hitting snooze at all that morning once i realized i was late. i quickly got out of bed and rushed to find something to wear. i threw on the first outfit i could think of and slipped on my vans since they were the easiest to put on. i had already been struggling with attendance and my school had threatened to put me in lunch detention for a week if i continued to show up late. i skipped breakfast and headed out my backpack hitting my back as i swung it over my shoulder on my way out the door. i hopped on my bike and rode fast down the road and to my school. i went to East High and everyone and their mothers were talking about the High School Musical play thing that was happening. i had nothing against it but it gets annoying after hearing it over and over though i was planning on going with my friends to watch the performance. i pedaled fast down the road the wind messing up my just brushed hair, i saw my school and sighed in relief realizing skipping breakfast was a good idea since i had time to go to my locker before class. i locked my bike before headed inside my school. my locker was next to the iconic pink locker which only meant that i got to watch a bunch of kids taking pictures with it every morning for clout of course since the only interesting thing going on in their lives was the fact that they attend the school High School Musical was filmed in. i rolled my eyes and shook my head with a laugh as i saw the new set of kids at the locker that morning. i put the combo into my locker and opened it, i grabbed the books necessary and turned to see my friend, only friend.

"oh hi" i said with a smile as she had taken me by surprise.

"hello, you're here early" she said with a laugh.

i met Nini back in kindergarten and ever since then she had just stayed by my side and though i made other friends along the way she was the only one who stuck.

it was almost time for lunch in fact i was in my second period of the day which meant lunch was right after when my stomach began to growl. i sighed and looked around hoping no one noticed though my stomach was very loud. i turned to the boy next to me, his name was Ricky and he had always sat with me though we never talked.

"hungry?" he asked.

"duh" i said looking at him, slightly annoyed he even asked because my stomach had decided it was time to announce it to the whole class.

"here" he said with a small laugh as he handed me his banana.

"thank you" i said slightly laughing along with him as i took the banana from him and ate it.
