Once upon two centuries ago........
A guy and a girl met. The girl had fallen in love with him as time passed. The guy was a mystery the girl always tried to solve. The girl... Was just like any other girl to him. The only difference she was the silliest and most naive of them all. The thing is they never told each other they loved each other until years passed. About 9 years. The girl has become a proper lady. She has turned 18. And the guy was 21.
They were still best of friends. And then at that age they had confessed to each other their love. But the man wasn't really that in love with her. As for the lady... She was head over heels in love with him that it ached her heart whenever she thought of him not loving her. Which is why she passed out when she found out he "Loved" her back.
Three more years passed with their "Love". There was still no ring. Then one day, the lady and the man went to have a picnic at the beautiful fields of their town. ( idk really how to make it clear but I guess it's fine, so their simply having a picnic at beautiful grassy fields v.v ) Then the man's smile turned into a frown suddenly, he was only acting though, so he's look seriously sad to her and she'd pitied him and was depressed. He knew she would believe him and would want the best for him and wouldn't fight back or anything. So he told her what she never expected she'd be told. "I'm getting married Sunday morning to a rich lady from the neighboring town." He also knew she wouldn't be able to leave the town so everything going according to plan to him. "My aunt suggested it to my parents and now I'm going through an arranged marriage" The lady was shocked. She wanted to cry and sob about her love marrying another lady. One that's rich and would make him happier, but she decided to hide it until she got home and would be able to cry herself to sleep. And so she said to him "I understand, it's fine, I'm sorry I can't attend the wedding you know my parents are very strict and worry about me too much so I can't go to the neighboring town, but I give you my best regards." She kissed his cheek and whispered that she loves him into his ears. Then she stood up and left with sorrowful tears not daring to look back once more.
Believe it or not, 4 years passed and she was still alive. Surprisingly. She was in grief and great depression, but she was willing to live thinking he's happy with a wife and kids by now. All in all a beautiful family.
The man was back in his town after a drunken night in one of the bars at one of the other neighboring towns. The lady went out shopping happily smiling from ear to ear. Humming and skipping on her way to to they town's shops for bread and cheese. ( idk why bread and cheese but I guess that's what she needed lol ) She stopped in shock. There he was. Alone. Standing there. He didn't realize she was there, not until he felt her hands on his shoulder. He smiled. Not a sly smile. He wanted to look genuine of course, but behind that mask was was a smug smile. All he said was "I'm back beautiful" Yes yes yes a girl LOVES hearing her lover calling her beautiful rather than babe and at those times they don't usually use the term "babe".
When he said that all the memories they've had together passed by so vast in her mind. And a tear betrayed her untainted pride. Her reply to his shattered deceitful mask was "I knew the day you said you loved me, it was too good to be true. A fairytale started in my mind, a fantasy I've lived, but now reality has struck me hard to wake me up from my unrealistic dream to show me you've masked your true smiles with the fake ones like the one demonstrated before me now, thank you for teaching me how to unmask a liar's disguise, now I could live my life knowing who I could trust and who I must keep my distance between. I'd rather be stabbed by my enemy rather than an untrue friend, because my enemy will stab me before me unlike an untrue friend who would stab me from behind." After that she turned around, again, not looking back. The difference between this time and then was that she left with a smile after just one tear instead of leaving like last time with a frown, sorrows, and then her cries. She knows the truth of his disguise, she was never again to be naive to believe a masked guise.
The tears you shed over faux love are like the cries you shed over spilled milk, while the tears you shed over true love are the tears are the reflection of the tears you shed over the grief of the funeral that's yours. Why? Because you wasted your life with nothing more than satisfying non other than a person who does not deserve you. Love your loved ones. Love who love you. Never take anything for granted. True love isn't just between you and your other half. It's you, him, you family, your friends, and God. The lady learned many things in life, but this life lesson woke her long dead soul that was halted in all over her deceived years.
A love that was deceitful and filled with lies. Love that's full of fake and empty emotions. That was not love, but it was a lie.
