I wish I had a boyfriend. I wish he lived in the woardrobe on a coat hanger. Whenever I wanted, I could get him out and we would just gaze into each others eyes. He'd whisper, 'Tessa. I love you. I really do love you. You're beautiful'- exactly them words.
Just reading that first paragraph of Tessa's diary made me cringe I couldn't read on anymore. I saw Tess turn to her side my heart raced, I quickly shut her diary and put it back on her bedside. I only opened it thinking that it was just going be little sketchy drawings; she always draws, but no she wrote some cringy paragraph on how she want a boyfriend, sounds pretty desperate to me. Now I am intrigued to know what else is in there but what happens if she wakes up? and plus I guess it would be rude just to go through her secret diary without asking but then again I did think it was just a sketch book. Should I ask her about this? No I daren't she will go mad knowing I have saw it she would probably hate me forever, I can't make me hate me she has been my best friend since Primary School and to be honest if it was me I wouldn't be too happy if she went in my diary even though she knows all my secrets. I decided to close my eyes and get back to sleep but I was wide awake and that paragraph of Tessa's diary wouldn't go out my head I tried my hardest to stop thinking about it but it was like a magnet it wouldn't want to go out my mind.
Turns out I ended up nodding off; I woke up by Tessa looking over me shaking me hard saying repeadedly 'Jasmine wake up! Jasmine wake up!' I slowly opened my left eye to look at her I could only manage to open it half way it felt like there was a weight hanging off my eyelid, I swear I wasn't up that late to be this tired. Tessa came in with a cup of ice cold water and poured it all over me. That just put me in a bad mood, she was there laughing her head off but by this point I didn't want to look at her in the eyes.
' Jasmine I'm so sorry; I was really bored I only wanted you to wake up '
' Well was there any need to pour freezing cold water all over me was there!' I said to her in anger
' I'm sorry I won't do it again, come with me I will get you dried up '
I just rolled my eyes at her I wasn't in a good mood to forgive her yet. After Tessa got me dried up, her mum called us down for breakfast. Yum the smell of sausage buttys walking down the stairs just makes you salivate.
'How are you Jasmine?' Tessa's mum Tracy said in a rather jolly voice
'I'm fine thank you' I said trying to be as polite as possible I don't want to be in a mood with Tracy she is far too nice plus she has done nothing wrong.
'Are you sure chick, your hair looks a little damp have you just woke up?' she said concerned
'Erm... no I just had a wash in the bathroom and water going in my hair as I was washing my face' I didn't want to get Tessa into trouble so I just made up a random excuse hoping it was believable.
'Oh right I see, right girlies I'm just nipping to the shops I will be back later is that ok?' Tracy said walking towards the door
'Yeah that's fine see you later mum love you' Tessa shouted to her mum
Tracy just went straight out the door you heard the engine of her car rush off down the road. By this point I was feeling a bit anxious there was something about Tessa's house I didn't like, it seemed well you know haunted; I am fine when her mum is in the house with us it is just when we are on our own. It fell silent Tessa wasn't talking to me she was sat in front of the TV eating her sausage butty, I felt a bit awkward. It was that quiet I could hear the ticking off the clock. Finally Tessa broke the silence.
'Are you still in a mood with me?'
'No I guess not, I'm sorry for being so grumpy, I just woke up and it's not a way anyone loves to be woken up by' I said fiddling with my fingers
'Yeah I'm sorry too, do you want to go back up to my room? Do you have your diary with you we can write in them or draw in them if you have yours, that's only if you want to anyway?'
Hearing the word diary from Tessa made me giggle it reminded me of what I read in her diary last night; I looked at her with one eyebrow raised.
'What?' She said in a high pitched voice
'Oh sorry nothing, day dreaming come on let's go'
When we were sat on Tessa's bed doodling in our diary's I peeked over her shoulder I know it is really rude to do that but i was intrigued to know what she was writing next. Turns out she was adding more on to the cringy paragraph I couldn't quite make out what she was writing as she slammed shut her diary she probably noticed me looking.
'Why can't I see what you're doing?' I asked pretending that I have no idea what she has wrote
'Because it's a surprise plus it is nothing special you wouldn't want to see it'
'Please I don't mind, even if it is the most boring thing in the world'
'No Jasmine I don't want you to' She was getting really defencive by this point
I just left it there, plus I wasn't too bothered as I already know what she has wrote well the first few sentences but I want to know what else is in there. I thought hard of a plan on how I could see the rest of her diary to see what other exciting secrets she has but my mind was blank I couldn't think of anything. But another side of me thought maybe it is best I didn't see what else she has written.
Just as we got all relaxed there was a knock at the house door, Tess ran down the stairs to see who it was turns out it was my mum.
'Jasmine your mum's at the door' she shouted up
I was too lazy to go downstairs so I just shouted to her 'Ask her what she wants?'
Tessa told my mum I asked what does she want and turns out we were going away for the rest of the weekend to see my nana who lives in London. I hugged and quickly got changed into my clothes and got my bags packed as I was still in Tessa's pyjamas. That took me about half an hour. I said goodbye to Tessa, I felt a bit sorry for her because she was home alone till her mum came back and to be honest I wasn't in the mood going all the way to London it is such a long journey; 5 hours. I was so bored without Tessa, everytime I am with Tessa I am never bored. Because of how boring car journeys are I eneded up falling asleep throughout the entire journey to London.
