The music had kept Leah moving. The beat keeping her body moving on the dance floor. Though she was alone Leah was at home with the feeling. Being alone was nothing new to her.
Two hours into dancing, Leah had stepped from the dance floor in search of a drink. Ordering a Jack straight up from the bar tender had been interesting. The guy had tried his best to flirt with her.
Leah had firmly turned from the poor guy. Finishing off her drink, Leah had made her way back onto the dance floor.
Throughout the night she had danced with various partners. None quite capturing her attention. That is until she felt his hands at her hips.
At first she had tried to pull away. But his firm strong grip had kept her in place. His hips grinding into her own. As Leah had prepared to release herself from him, she had realized two things. One she didn't want to. And two, she knew him.
Her sense of smell had told her who had her in his grips. Leaning back into his body, Leah had turned her head to look up into the eyes of none other than the man who haunts her thoughts and dreams. Paul Lahote.
{Paul's POV}
Growing up every red blooded guy on the Rez had had a crush on Leah Clearwater. She had been beautiful and sweet. With a kind heart.
The last few years has changed her. Or so she wants everyone to believe. Yeah fate has dealt her a shitty hand. But she's strong. Leah can and will overcome her heart break.
The night that I had sought her out on the beach I had been concerned for her. Life gets us all down sometimes. And since Leah had shifted it had been a bitch to her.
Leah had taken the break up with she and Sam to heart. The two had been engaged when Sam had imprinted on Emily.
Sam had been in love with Leah. He had genuinely loved her with all of his heart. But fate had not chosen her for him. They had other ideas in mind for the Alpha. They had chosen Leah's cousin Emily Young from the Makah Tribe.
Imprinting isn't something that a wolf can fight. Though he can try. And Sam had tried to fight it. He had tried his best to fight for Leah. But in the end the imprint had won.
To add fuel to the fire, Leah had phased. Making Sam her Alpha. The one person who n this world that she did not want to be near.
For the most part Leah refused to go to Sam and Emily's. Only going when she has no other choice.
Having the night off from patrol I had needed to get away. To get off of the rez and enjoy myself. With Jared on patrol it had left me going solo.
As I had walked into the club my eyes had found Leah. There was no missing her. The girl has some moves. The fact that every guys eyes was glued to her body had pissed me off.
Not bothering taking the time to get a drink, i had made my way to the dance floor. Stepping behind her, i had pulled her body flush to mine. My hands gripping her hips.
I had known the instant that she had recognized my touch. She had stopped herself from fighting me and looked up into my eyes.
