I heard a crash from in the bathroom and it woke me up for my daydream. I felt a pair of hands up around my chest before I could turn, Lucas. The scent of Africa lynx and sweat, rose to my nose and I knew it was him.
" Lucas, I took a pregnancy test today and I haven't checked it yet but what would you say if I was-"
"- Pregnant, you are. I went to freshen up and saw it on the side after I tripped over the bin. That's not important, we're having a child, and I say we have to make a choice, I think..."
" We should keep the baby." We said in unison. We smiled at each other, no we grinned, we beamed. We've been talking about one day in the future starting a family, but we never thought the future was this close, but somehow we knew that we were ready, we knew it in our hearts.
"We have to tell my mum, but Aiden and Kat still don't know we are together." We frown at each other. The phone rang startling us both. Lucas walked over and pick the phone up, his smile grew and grew and God did I love how his lips curled up on the side of his mouth and how the dimples come and go as he talks, when his eyes shine brighter than the hottest star in the clearest night and when he looks at me, life is self melts away and it's just us floating in the middle of nowhere. Together, safe.
"It was Joanna, the estate agent, she said that the property prices gone down as they found some faults in the plumbing, £80'000 well in our price range, we wouldn't have to pay for the fix either. With a small deposit of £2500 the property is ours within the next month."
"That's great!" I practically shouted, 23 and my life is coming together, I have a wonderful boyfriend, a baby in belly and a property of our own on the way. What I have always wanted.
