A Wolf's bite

chapter four

I was running along the woods. A pack of wolves were chasing behind me. I tried to lost them in the track. I ran as fast as I can, until I stepped on something slippery and glided down. The moment I landed, I noticed the air was getting more colder than usual. I stood up on my feet and started walking, looking around if there’s any sign of a wolf. I came to a stop, terror filled me, as I saw my sister. Sammy. Lay dead. I moved closer and saw her body full of scratches. To her left side, I saw a dead wolf. I stepped away of my sister, taking a closer look at the wolf. Then, I heard something behind me and saw another wolf growling at me. I panicked. Before it could move, it jumped over me. But, before it could reach me, another wolf came and attacked the wolf who tried to kill me. It ran away and the wolf who attacked it turned around and stared intently to my eyes. After a while, it was gone. A part of me was telling that I shouldn’t  follow it. But, I did so. I followed its trail and came to a stop. To my astonishment, the wolf changed into…. Into a man. Then, I noticed his eyes. It was his eyes. It was him. The blue-eyed man.

I woke with a start, panting. I was in my room. In my bed. I was only dreaming. It was only a nightmare. A worse one. The cold breeze touched my skin that caused me to shiver, I noticed that my window pane was widely opened. I got off my bed to close it. Before I could go back to bed, I noticed a piece of paper, folded in half, attached at the window pane. I opened it and read:

‘I should’ve listened to you…

But I just can’t….

Can’t leave you alone…..

I’m sorry…’      -O.J.

Listen to me? What does that mean? But it was the same sender who gave me a message last time, for it has the same signatory: ‘O.J.’.  Who the heck is O.J.? What does he mean about listening to me? Is he apologizing? But I never knew him. Why? Seriously, this is getting creepier. I had to find out who’s ‘O.J.’. What does he know about me? Or perhaps, ‘O.J.’ had to do anything about the tragedy in the woods. I’ll better find out.
