Part 1
The Wait Until Christmas
Chapter 1
"Hey! Quetzel! Look at this!" I crawled out of my sleeping cave and flew down to Eagle's. "What now? I was dreaming of figs dancing in my head!" "Sorry," Eagle said. "I just wanted to show you this white stuff falling from the sky." I looked out of Eagle's ridiculously small 'window'. "Huh, that's strange! We can get a better look in the kitchen. Let's go!" As we walked down the tunnel that lead to the kitchen, I noticed the frigid cold temperature, and Eagle shivering. Granted, Eagle and I are cold-blooded, but this was abnormal. When we arrived in the kitchen, Eagle and I stepped onto the front porch, we were slapped in the beak and snout with a cold blast of air. Our mercury temperature reader read -3! Eagle stuttered, "q-q-Quetzel? Could you light a candle? Or some candles?" "Word!" I said. I went into the kitchen, with Eagle trailing close behind, And I looked in the fire drawer. "Well that's a when T-Rexes use their arms moment! We don't have candles!" Eagle sniffled, "I hope we don't freeze!"
