"You sure you got everything? Mailing things from Magnolia to Barcelona is a little pricey." I sighed, crossing my arms.
Thiago laughed. "I should have everything. You woke me up extra early to pack so I don't forget."
Being here did cause a lot of problems but at the end of the day, seeing my friend go is still pretty sad. It was nice having a roommate. Even though he didn't have to pay rent.
Correction: I didn't let him pay rent.
"Remember your train stop is Haregon, okay?" I continued.
"You seriously act like I've never been to Fiore." He sighed. "I've only been here the amount of times you decide to come to visit Salamander."
"And that's how I know that you keep getting off in the wrong town!" I exclaimed. "How many times did we end up in Margaret Town?"
He raised his arms in defense. "Hey now, that was like the first time I came to Fiore."
From their location, Thiago dropped his arms down. "Now come on."
I giggled a bit and went in for the tight hug. "Take care of yourself."
"You, too Lucy." He kissed my cheek once more. "Please, don't let Natsu bring you down anymore. You deserve to be happy."
I wanted to cry but here and now is not the place. I finally have a full apartment to myself where I can cuddle up and let the water works flow without having to worry a good friend.
"Don't worry about me too much." I patted his back. "Worry about getting on the main Barcelona squad, okay."
Thiago laughed softly. "I'll get there. Just give me about a year and you'll see me playing alongside Messi."
"I'm counting on it."
~
Practice doesn't start for a bit so I had some time to myself. It was nice having Thiago alone and his absence is feeling more like a void then it should've.
I guess I just gotta get used to it.
The rest of the walk back to my apartment was uneventful. I stopped by my neighbors to bring Plue back since Thiago was allergic to dogs. Plue was more than happy to see my smiling face when I carried his cradle back to my front door.
I stuck the key into the lock and no sooner did I open the door did my mouth drop.
"Lucy!"
Oh my -
"WHY DO YOU GUYS HAVE TO BREAK INTO MY APARTMENT?!!!"
Erza was enjoying herself; sipping tea in my loveseat. Beside her, Wendy was enjoying a piece of cake that she probably baked herself. Across from them on the floor were Gray and of course, Natsu.
"What?" Gray shrugged. "We haven't done it in a while so why not?"
Wendy immediately dipped her head. "I'm so sorry!"
I sighed, setting the crate down. "Don't be. I just don't know what i'd be expecting with the group of you."
Natsu just beamed brightly. "Nah, you love us."
I love you...
The things he does to me even though there are others around us is definitely something I need to learn to keep down better. The things he says and does to me is definitely making my life a living nightmare.
"So why are you guys here?" I asked, letting Plue out.
Almost immediately, the dog ran over to Natsu and jumped on his lap; yipping and wagging his tail. Natsu laughed and started petting him between the ears.
