Lycanthrope Packs

Pack Hierarchy

Each pack is divided up into different groups. Some packs call different ranks by different names. But each pack has a group that leads, teaches, fights and hunts, farms and does household things. I will describe each rank here then I will break each pack up into separate chapters and break down their hierarchy.

Alpha: is in charge of running the pack. He choses who is in what rank and who is in charge of each rank. He is like a father figure to the pack members and choses the punishments for everything.

Luna/Alpha Female: is the Alphas mate. She is like a mother figure to the pack. She cares for all the pack members from the youngest to the eldest. It is up to her to see that everyone is okay. She is in charge of the third line of defense. She trains all the women in the third line.

Beta: is the alphas second in charge. He takes care of anything the Alpha needs done. He will travel if the Alpha needs him to. And if the alpha is away he wil help the Luna run the pack.

Beta Female: is the betas mate. She is the Luna's helper.

Elders
The elders are a special group of wolves. Each pack has their own elders council, but out of that group the previous alpha, luna and beta can travel from pack to pack if needed. All the elders teach the young pups their roles in the packs.

Warriors/Hunters
This rank in itself is a hierarchy of its own. First you have the leader of all of them. Some call him the Master At Arms, others call him Lead Warrior. His job is to train and lead those under him into war. He chooses who fights and who hunts, and what everyone's place is in the group. Next in the group is the front lines. This is the group that is trained to protect the boarders of the pack. They patrol the boarders and keep unwanted things out. Next is the secondary line. If the front line fail to protect the pack this is the group that will be next to protect the pack. (Delta is included in this line.) The final war rank in this group is the last line. If you should make it through the first two lines this is where you will meet the mothers. They are fighting to save their pups. They will kill and ask no questions. The Luna and Beta Females are in this line. It is said nothing is more fierce than a mother protecting their child. Then you have the hunters/trackers. They are trained to fight as well as hunt. They provide all the meat for the packs.

Members
Here you have most everyone else. This group makes up about 90% of the packs. You have the ones who tend to the crops. The cooks and the majority of the women and pups. Keep in mind that once the pups reach the age of ten they are given duties to do. Some of the bigger pups are sent to train as warriors. The cleaning staff is also in this group. They clean up the pack house all the time and when they have guests coming they prepare their rooms for them. They also decorate for parties.

Omega : This is the lowest rank possible to have in a pack. The ones that have this rank are more at less slaves to their packs. Some packs don't believe in omegas, so not all the packs will have them. Some of these are ones born without their wolves. Nothing is more disappointing than a wolfless werewolf.
