Unexpected

Noah was heading down the street toward the bookstore as usual. On the way he bought some bread and coffee but trips and spills his coffee and some bread not too long after he left the bakery. He finished what he had left that wasn't damaged which was all his bread, before reaching his destination. He goes to the bookstore often since it was his favorite place to be. When Noah reach the bookstore he went to varies sections. Approximately 1 hour to 2 hours or so each section he went to. He red few pages of some books he took interest in from the sections. About after three hours or so he heading towards home after waiting in the long line until he was able to get to the cashier to buy the books he took a liking to. While heading home, he listened to some audio books he bought on his app which he had downloaded recently.

Noah  sees that the door was unlocked and so he hurried inside to locked the door and went to check on all the rooms to see everything was perfectly fine. It was fine until he reached his book/documentary room. Everything was a mess. Books and documentaries scattered all over the floor. Noah puts down the books he bought out side the room, right next to the door and starts to organize the books and documentary on the floor to check if anything was missing using a list he has created to keep in check on all the books and documentaries he had.

After checking on everything, he finds a thing peculiar. Nothing has gone missing instead the amount of books has increased. If someone broke in they must have took a thing or two, not give. He checked every book that did not belong to him. one thing that caught his attention was a leather covered notebook. It seemed old and the cover was severely damaged. There was something written on the notebook but it was barely readable. Noah squint his eyes trying to read the words "Liam Hector." is what Noah was able to make out of the writing. It was a name and that name sounded familiar to Noah but he can't quite figure out what it is that is bothering him. Maybe because Hector was also his last name.

He opened the book. Looking at the formatting it was a diary. He started reading the diary. In the diary it sounds like whoever wrote in the diary seems to have a imaginative mind but in the same time the way it is written in a few sentences each day as if  don't have any time to write much. In the first 2 to 3 days or so Liam wrote a lot more than any other days. Any day after is when it is a few sentence and some sketch of creatures with notes but about after four fifth of the dairy the writing suddenly stopped. He flipped through all the pages till it hits the end and that is when he found.

In between the last page and the back cover there was a old family picture of his. An family photo of when he wasn't born yet but his mother who has passed away used to show him the Photo. That is when he realized that why the name bugged him so much. He took a look at the back of the picture. There was signatures from varies different person on the back of his family photo and in the middle it is written "'Hector's family' - Liam Hector ". Noah's mother used to tell him how his whole family signed the back of his grandfather's family photo and in the middle his grandfather signed his name. The reason why the name, his grandfather's name bugged him so much was that his grandfather has gone missing years and years ago.
