(note: this was going to be a short animation but i'm lazy so I've decided to write it out as a story, i hope you enjoy anyway!)

"YOU WILL NEVER AMOUNT TO ANYTHING, JUST ANOTHER PUNK LIVING ON THE STREETS" a loud crash was heard in a once loving home as a fight broke out.

nora was a 23 year old collage drop out who couldn't keep down a job but she did mange to keep herself afloat by taking random part time jobs here and there, she couldn't say she grew up rich or had the newest thing that every kid had since her mother found herself scraping for change every month to keep a roof over her head and food in her belly and It has always been this was for her.

as time went on nora had a hard time keeping focus in school and would barely get by on low grades, high school was the hardest for her from little friends she had leaving her and moving onto things such as suddenly now she has worry about her future like going to collage and finding a job and so on. something she finds comforting is a hobby she picked up back in middle school was playing her guitar.

Although she wasn't the greatest or made it publicly known she enjoys playing alone in her room, after a while even the sounds of the cords didn't help her find a job.

Nora understood why the fight broke out in the first place and why it caused her mother so much pain, a single parent taking care of a kid who some might view as lazy. she tired to help her by setting her up with job interviews and even going out of her way to make extra money just so that nora didn't have to stress about her. but after 4 years of constant fights of nora staying in her room or losing a job she couldn't take it anymore.

they stood in a 10 x 13ft living room decorated with pictures of nora growing up and childhood drawings her mother kept, the carpet was a dark green with stains of mood and dropped drinks over the years and broken knick knacks such as her great grandmother's tea set was thrown across the room and shattered into a million pieces.

A trail of clothes lead to where her mother was angrily standing at with a clenched fist around the backpack she aggressively stuffed with Nora's belongings before she tossed them out the door, "I AM TIRED OF GIVING YOU SECOND CHANCES! YOU ARE A GROWN ADULT NORA NOT A CHILD ANYMORE! GET OUT OF HERE" she snapped as tears blurred her vision.

Nora's throat tighten and burned as she held back from bursting into tears, "b-but mom....where am i supposed to go" her voice was trembling with a hint of asking for forgiveness, she couldn't think clearly since her mind was flooded with thoughts on how she was taking care of herself.

"I DON'T CARE, ANYWHERE BUT HERE! I DON'T WANT YOU TO BE COMING AROUND ASKING FOR MONEY OR HELP FROM ME EITHER" she could tell this pained her as well.

nora stood there trying to make her body move but she was frozen in place with shock, she couldn't take it anymore.

rolling her eyes her mother stomps towards her and grabs her arm, digging her nails deep as she yanks nora out the door, "GET OUT OF HERE" Nora was thrown off the stairs and onto the concrete streets. she threw her arms out to catch herself falling as she heard the door slammed shut. her heart was pounding as tears stung her eyes.

she slowly got back up from the ground after a minute of collecting her thoughts, glancing around the neighborhood around her she was met with eyes of onlookers through windows across the street before closing their curtains. she sniffs and rubs the liquids from her eyes before grabbing her bag of clothes that was tossed so carelessly onto the street.

"thanks mom" she sarcastically said under her breath as she slings one of the straps over her shoulder, luckily her phone was in her back pants pocket before all of this happened but she knew the service would shut off soon.

she looks around before opening her phone and sends a message to her friend , Mason was the kind of guy who is too dorky to hang out with cool kids and would rather stay at home playing D&D. out of everyone who left her he was the only one who stayed by her side.

a quick text asking if she could crash at his place and his address nora takes one last look of the home she grew up in and after a moment of staring at it the more it makes her want to get far away from here, with another sniff she turns her head away and moves on.

(this was more of an intro to nora but i will try my best to make more in the future and who knows maybe i will get motivated to make this into an animation)
