Chapter 3

‘Was that what you call fun?’ Becca said as we walked out of school.

‘yeah it was okay, not as bad as schoo…’ I was interrupted by Jai calling our names.

‘Hey’ I smiled once he had caught up to us.

‘Good day?’ he asked.

‘As good as it could get’ Becca moaned. Jai laughed, I don’t think he realised that she was this stubborn most of the time.

‘Waheeey, Jai’s actually talking to some chicks.’ A tall boy with short black hair walked up, another, smaller, boy with black spiky hair was next him and a boy that looked very similar to Jai followed.

‘Shut up’ he playfully punched the tall boy in the arm. ‘this is Lily and Becca’ he said, pointing to both of us. ‘And these are my dick head friends, James and Skip and this is my brother, Luke’ pointing to each one as we walked out of the school gates.

We all talked for about 10 minutes, before Skip and James left to go their separate ways home, which left just the four of us.

‘What’s it like in England?’ Luke asked.

‘Chavs, knives, scones, chavs’ I laughed.

‘soo you prefer Australia?’ Jai grinned.

‘We’ve only been here like a day but it’s alright I suppose’ Becca smiled.

‘Naa Australia’s awesome, how about you come back to ours?’ Luke smiled at both of us.

‘Well we haven’t got anything better to do’ Becca said as we followed them up their drive.

Becca’s P.O.V

‘WE’RE HOOOME’ Jai called as he opened the door, we walked into the living room to see an older version of the twins slumped on the sofa.

‘Beau!’ Jai said trying to take the boys eyes off the TV.

‘Waddup?’ he said looking up from the TV.

He had the same brown hair as the twins but it was straight and swept to the side under a deep red snapback. He wore a black tshirt, showing off his perfect tan and his eyes, his eyes were the most beautiful green I’d ever seen. He looked at me and Lily and smiled, Luke went to sit down next to him so me and Lily followed, sitting in the other sofa. Jai brought us some drinks then put SpongeBob on.

‘Wow I’m bored’ Luke said taking out his phone.

‘How about some board games’ Beau got up excitedly.

‘We’re not kids, Beau’ Jai laughed, I could tell he was trying to impress Lily and god she loved it.

‘So? Doesn’t mean we can’t act like them,’ he pulled out an already open box of twister.

‘Why the hell have you already got it out?’ Luke asked putting his phone away.

‘YOU DON’T KNOW WHAT IT’S LIKE TO BE HOME ALONE, ALL DAY, EVERYDAY’ Beau put on a screamo voice whilst he emptied out the contents of the box onto the floor.

‘I might just watch the first round’ I jumped onto the sofa and Lily joined me, but grabbed the spinner ready to instruct the boys on what to do.

‘Okay Luke first’ she spun the spinner ‘Right foot on red’ Luke placed his foot on the nearest red spot.

‘Beau, left hand on green’ Beau followed her instructions.

‘And Jai, right hand on yellow’ Jai put his right hand on yellow. Lily and I carried on spinning the wheel and the boys started to get into a mess, with Luke and Beau resembling the human centipede at one point. Eventually Luke cracked and he fell to floor, in a heap of laughter.

Lily’s P.O.V

‘C’mon it’s your turn’ Luke dragged himself off the floor and gestured for me and Becca to go onto the mat.

I shrugged and dragged Becca with me, Beau went to get a drink so it was just me, Jai and Becca playing.

‘Becca, left foot blue’ ‘Jai, right hand green’ ‘Lily, left hand red’

Luke carried on as we stepped and leaned over each other, Becca was never good at the game so she was quickly out and went to join Luke on the sofa which left me balancing in a crab position, which was very uncomfortable.

‘Okay Jai, left hand red’ Luke called, Jai leaned over my body to reach the red spot.

‘Lily, left foot green’ I moved my foot slightly to the next spot, but pretty much stayed in the same position.

‘Oooh, Jai it’s left foot red’ Luke and Becca burst out laughing as Jai tried to lift his leg over my body. Our bodies were touching and his face was very close to mine, I stared into his big, beautiful brown eyes as I watched his face slowly turn a pale shade of red.

‘Lily, right foot blue’

‘That’s impossible!’ I squealed, laughing. I tried to move my foot but instead my arms collapsed and I fell hard onto the mat, bringing Jai with me. My heart started to beat faster as I felt his breath on my neck and his body pressing down on mine. Becca and Luke were crying with laughter as Jai quickly got off me and slid on to the sofa.

‘Well that was fun’ Luke laughed. Jai was bright red and I could feel myself turning the same, I looked at Jai and he smiled making us both burst out laughing, I didn’t know what just happened but I knew that I liked it.
