Renee's eyes didn't expect the light to come and sneak through under her eyelids. It's quiet, the silence dancing around her as her eyes shift around the room. The curtains were closed but they were only as thin as cloth which allowed the light in. The smell is like a sweet cinnamon with a touch of vanilla. The smell was like a desert, a feeling in her body staying you would easily top it off with chocolate or maybe even some pancakes.

The cozy comfort came from Natalie.
Natalie Paquette.
She was a blonde beauty, tanned skin and flushed cheeks. Lines of scarring lived on her cheek and claimed property all the way down to the bend in her arm, which all below the stop was missing. Natalie was a switched on brain all the time, incredible intelligence. She was always smiling, the corners of her lips always turned up whenever Renee would see her.

Renee looked down to the blonde girl in her arms, noticing how she was grasped onto her for what seemed warmth. The Raven-haired girl seemed to always be to one Natalie went to for warmth, always hugging her in public or around their friends.

But, that wasn't what was on her mind exactly. It was the opening of the blonde's light blue eyes that caught her attention like a cod on a baited hook.

"Good morning, Nat."
"Ah?"

Natalie didn't notice Renee was awake until she saw the girl's smile and white eyes look down to her. "Chérie, you are awake. How long?" Natalie requested the answer, blinking a few times before wiping her eyes with her hand.

"Ten minutes really.."
"You are such an early bird, I can never understand how you do it, Ree."
"It's all Anita's fault, babe."

Natalie glanced around. She had her own smell in the room. It wasn't the same 'cinnamon and vanilla' Renee could sense around her and in the air. Natalie smelt her girlfriend- which was like black coffee. The earthy smell taking up room in her lungs as she breathed in and out. She could also smell whatever musky perfume Renee had stolen off Elliot.

"Elliot- you smell..."
"Like Elliot? Yeah, he sprayed me yesterday when he said I smelt like paper."
"You two...confuse me."

Renee let out a quiet chuckle- but before her eyes could open again, Natalie sat up and leaned into her face, making their lips meet. The tastes were the same as they scents. It went out for only around a four to five seconds, but they didn't seemed to believe it was enough. They had separated for a breath only once in the thirty seconds of soft affection.

Renee's face would still fluster from their kisses and hugs, even though they can been together for so long. A year now actually, but, Natalie loved it. It made her smile to see the other cover her face and smile whenever she thought Nat wasn't looking.

Renee's hand moved from Natalie's cheek down to the girl's now removed arms, just rubbing it was she spoke. It's bumps and curves was fun to fiddle around with- but Nat only allowed Renee to do this.

"I'll have to get up soon."
"No."
"No?-"
"Don't go yet, please."

Renee couldn't deny Nat's little whisper of "Don't go"- So, she stayed. She lay with Natalie for around ten minutes extra, comforting each other with small kisses or hugs. Renee only went and got up whenever she saw the clock and realised she was late for work- but while Anita told her the truth of being on time, all she could think about was the kiss that her and the most beautiful woman on the earth had shared.
