Chapter Twelve: Revealing My Secret To Ginny

LUNA'S POV

I made sure that I was the only one left in the room before sneaking out the door that led you down the halls. I was getting bored being in here and everyone was in class right now. I looked both ways and saw each way was deserted; though that didn't mean that there weren't any waiting death eaters around the corner.

I gripped my wand and decided to make a left; I think it led you deeper down the deserted hallway so I should be fine.

I passed by old paintings who all seemed to be asleep; It was 2 in the afternoon. I guess since they don't have much traffic so they don't have anything else to do.

"What are you doing down here; aren't you supposed to be in class little one?" I turned and saw a young ghost floating behind me; a confused expression across her face. She had long straight dark hair, pale skin and wore a medieval dress on. Was this Helena Ravenclaw? The daughter of Rowena Ravenclaw?

"Are you..." she sighed but nodded; floating a little higher so that she was now taller than me.

"Yes I am Helena Ravenclaw; but answer my question why are you down here?" I shuffled against my feet as I thought of an answer; should I tell her? She wouldn't go and tell anyone would she?

"Are you going to answer me?" I bit my lip and looked away; looking out the window that showed part of the Forbidden Forest.

"If I tell you will you go to any of the teachers or the Headmaster?" she scrunched up her nose and looked away; she looked annoyed that I brought that up.

"It depends on what it is; usually I would've said yes but with how things are being run after Dumbledore's passing I wouldn't want to cause you any harm" I nodded; maybe I can tell her.

"Okay...Well I'm not supposed to be here"

"I know"

"No I mean here at Hogwarts" her brows furrowed,

"Are you not a Hogwarts student?" I shook my head,

"I am but I was taken at the beginning of the school year; I escaped not too long ago but because all these Death Eaters are associated with the people who captured me I have to stay hidden so that they can't find me" she blinked and took in what I had just said.

"So why are you out here if you need to hide? That's pretty careless of you" I smiled; I could detect a hint of worry in her voice.

"I know, but you have no idea how boring it is to be hiding every day, all day and the only time you get anything from the castle is when my friends bring me food. And the food isn't the same anymore either! I just wanted to explore a little but I'll stay in here because no one comes down here" she frowned,

"Don't rely on that; just the other day Snape himself came down here" my eyes widened as I looked around; that made me feel uncomfortable being out here...maybe I should go back.

"Why?" I asked; she shrugged and floated further down the hall; I followed her and I realized that we were heading back towards the ROR.

"I don't know; whenever he comes down here everyone towers in fear; that's why all the paintings are asleep; they don't want to face them" I nodded; we had stopped in front of the wall where the ROR was; Helena looked towards the wall and suddenly the door appeared.
