"What are you doing here?"

"This is a hair shop, Beyoncé. Actually it's supposed to be the best one around."

"That doesn't explain why you decided to waltz your ass in here. There's hundreds of shops in the area."

"Cmon, Bey. Can we put our issues aside, please?" She smiled but something about it made my skin crawl.

Savannah was once my friend in high school. All freshman and sophomore year, we were the best of friends. I always thought we would graduate high school and go off to college together.

There were times where the only people we knew in the room were each other. Every day we would sit at our own table with our other friends and I thought life was perfect.

All of that changed when LeBron transferred to our school. After school, I would stay in the gym to watch him practice instead of going to her house. On the weekends, it was date nights instead of the mall. I wanted to spend every minute with him and it seemed me and her grew apart. She stopped talking to me completely and I think she was the one to even spread rumors about me and Bron. It hurt me but at the end of the day, I had my man and that was enough for me then.

Eventually, I met Kelly in junior year and she had been by my side ever since. Honestly, I don't know how I would've gotten through high school without her and LeBron.

To this day, I never knew why she was so mad that we were together. To be honest, I always felt she was a little jealous, but I quickly threw that out when I found out she was dating another basketball player.

She stood with two of her friends looking smug. She looked the same as she did years ago, yet I still couldn't recognize the girl I used the call my best friend.

I looked her up and down before I sighed. No matter how I felt about her, I couldn't just push her away forever. We had known each other for years and the bond we shared during that time I thought couldn't be broken.

"We don't do walk ins. I can see if we an fit you in the schedule for a day this week though."

"No, that's okay. I'm sure we'll be seeing more of each other though." She waved and I felt chills on my spine. Something about her saying that made me anxious because I hadn't seen her in years. We had nothing to discuss then and we damn sure don't now.

When she left, everybody got back to work like nothing happened except for me. I couldn't shake the look Savannah gave me nor could I figure out why she had came here in the first place.

I decided then that I had been at the shop long enough. Today had been long enough and all I wanted to do was sleep.

For some reason, I groaned at the thought of going home to a empty house. LeBron, as usual, wouldn't be there for the night. I could go to my sisters house but she constantly had people over there and I didn't feel like being around all that. The only real place I could think of was Jay's. As soon as I thought it, I got a incoming call. I smiled when I saw it was him.
