Prologue

"...6 years sentence without parole to be carried out in a Level one facility, Fox River Penitentiary."

"But your honour... that's an all-male facility."

"I am well aware of that. However, the severity of her crimes shows that she needs maximum security and all-female level 1 facilities are too full to take on any more inmates. Fox River is the only choice I have. Sentence to be carried out immediately."

It took about 4 hours to get to Fox River and the entire time, I was still processing it all. All-male facility... 6 years... Level One...

It all went by in a blur and suddenly I was being brought to Gen Pop, which is where the majority of inmates are held.

Shouts and insults and vulgar passes at me were heard all throughout the room as I was being taken to my cell.

"Open on 40!" The guard, Bellick, shouts. A cell door slides open and I get pushed in harshly. "Shame a pretty lady like yourself is stuck in a place like this. We could have had lots of fun." Bellick smirks as the cell door closes. Spitting through the bars at him, the smirk drops off his face.

"You think I'd ever have anything to do with you outside this place? You're as stupid as you look." I snarl at him. He huffs and turns, sauntering away. I take a deep breath and turn around, finally looking at the cell I was placed in when I noticed someone on the bottom bunk. He slowly gets up as I gulp and take a few steps back unsure of the man.

"Hey. I'm Michael Scofield" He slightly smiles as he holds a hand out to me. Cautiously, I take his hand in mine and shake it slightly.

"Y/N" I mentally scold myself for letting my voice break slightly.

"Don't worry, I'm not like the other men in here, you're safe with me." And I don't know why but I believed him. Maybe it was because he hadn't made a pass on me yet or made me feel uncomfortable. Or maybe it was his rich blue eyes that were so soft and trustworthy that I'd follow them into hell...
