When did the school cafeteria turn into a battlefield
Where the allies do nothing
Where the enemy keeps fighting with insults?
When did the allies give in?
Or were they even fighting in the first place?
When did the enemies decide?
Decide that their opinions were worth hurting others
That they have a right to use derogatory names
Even though, the names have nothing to do with them
When did teachers begin to go along with bullying?
Where they pretend to see not the pushes and shoves
Where they "joke" along with the rest of the class
When did the pushes begin?
Or was it to long ago to remember?
When did the "jokes" become a common thing
Decided by peers to be used as weapons
That are stabbed into the hearts of everyone who is
Even a little bit more different than you?
When did I give up on my parents?
Where when I tell them my troubles, they laugh.
Where my comfort used to lie, there is now nothing.
When did I begin to feel betrayed?
Or was it just loneliness?
When did the "I love you" and "Good dreams"
Decide to turn into "leave me alone" and "Bad dreams"
That are not meant to be received by children
Even if they are "more mature" than "other kids their age"
I ask you, when did our society turn from accepting, to judging?
