It has been a long time since I have left the war, 15 years to be exact. After my years of recovery and self care, I believe I have became a somewhat calm woman.

I walked down the cobblestone street and took in a deep breath of fresh air.  I noticed the calmness of the city, people walking around, drinking beers, and talking of the next big political event that could overwhelm society or the next year or two. I couldn't help but smile a bit as I felt the feeling of relief.

I continued walking at a steady pace, but I suddenly felt a familiar, pulsating feeling. I looked around, everyone had stopped moving...no-not just everyone, everything.

"I see even after years of patience, you have gained no faith in me," a familiar, echoed voice spoke.

" Wait...I know that voice... " I murmured and grit my teeth. " You're that damn being-x aren't you?! " I could feel the heat rising to my face as I began to fume with anger. I thought after this war I would be done with him! What else does he want from me?

"Don't think your time is over yet, little lamb," Being-x's looming tone remarked. "For I am not done with you yet."

I gave audible sounds of anger, but before I could even say anything, time had begun again and I was in the middle of the bustling streets again. I pressed my balm against my forehead feeling the anger turn to nauseousness. Every time I hear that damned voice I feel sick to my stomach.

" A coffee, please, " I said quietly to the waitress who took no time to jot down my order and disappear into the back. Placing my head in my hands, I began to feel frustrated and all together confused. " I thought this crazy shit was over with.. "

" Major Degurechaff! " I heard an excited female voice behind me. " Long time no see. " I turned around and locked eyes with Viktoriya Serebryakov, a former cadet whom later joined my platoon.

" Please...call me Tanya, " I gave an amused smile, motioning for her to sit. " I'm no longer in that position. But it's a pleasure to see you again, Serebryakov. " The waitress arrived setting down my cup of coffee on a small plate. " Can I over you a beverage or anything to eat? "

" Erm, no thank you! " Viktoriya said with a nervous chuckle, the waitress leaving quietly. The room went silent and I raised a brow seeing Viktoriya just stare at me, a baffled expression on her face.

" What? "

" I-um..! S-sorry! " She stammered and looked away. " It's just..I've never seen you so calm before-or even happy. " I could see Viktoriya smile a bit and a chuckle escaped her lips. " I'm so glad everything is working about for you! "

Gah-She's still the same! How is she still that jumpy kind girl? Has war done nothing to her?!

" Pfft, thank you, I suppose, " I sighed, pressing my lips against my coffee cup, taking a long sip. " Anyways, I best get going. " I set my cup down, standing up.

Viktoriya got up quickly, " Um-Majo-..I mean..Tanya, do you mind if I walk with you? " I sighed and rubbed my index finger and thumb onto the bridge of my nose.

" I...suppose, " I sighed, letting my hand fall to my side. " Just don't fall behind. "

" I wont! " She smiled, walking to my side as I exited the cafe. As we both began going down the cobble roads, neither of us spoke much, but I like to believe it was because we were enjoying the scenery. But as we approached my front door, I felt Viktoriya grab my arm. " Wait-I...I need to ask you something. "

I turned around, almost surprised, " What is it? "

She bit her lip, " Would...would you-...would you ever go back..? "

Would I ever go back..? Is this some trick question?

" If you mean to war, of course not, " I bluntly stated, jerking my hand out of Viktoriya's grip. I rubbed my wrist, " War is senseless and even I can see through that. " I turned back to the door and reached for the handle.

" They-...they want you to come back. "

What?....Come back-?

" No. I wont be going back. " I just got everything back in order! I finally am away from the front lines!  " Besides, we're out of any war, so I am not needed. "

" That's... " I turned around and heard Viktoriya give a small gasp.

" That's what? Is there something I don't know about? " I narrowed my eyes, staring at Viktoriya. She cowered back slightly and began stuttering on her words.

" I..I don't-...I don't think this is something we can discuss outside. "

" Then lets chat. "
