1.The British Virgin Islands
The BVI have always been known as the real laid back, un-fussy islands of the Caribbean. But of course more recently it is known as the Caribbean Islands that got wiped out terribly in the wake of hurricane Maria and hurricane Irma – Irma being the most powerful hurricane to have ever hit the Atlantic. As a result of the damage the BVI experienced a whopping 90% loss in tourism. But over the last two years the Islands people have poured their hearts and souls into endless renovations to slowly re-open the Island they love. And we think they should be rewarded for picking themselves up and putting themselves back on the map with the return of many travelers.
2.The Aegadian Islands
Made up of a group of five small mountainous islands - the islands of Favignana, Levanzo and Marettimo and the rocky islets of Formica and Maraone.They are found in the Mediterranean Sea just flung off the northwest coast of Sicily, Italy,It is a beautiful and popular destination for diving, swimming and eating. It tends to attract travelers who wish to fuel their desire for a slow paced and affordable destination.The Favignana is the largest of the five islands, here you can spend your days lazy around on the photogenic bamboo-framed daybeds on the beach and enjoy the mountainous views behind you. The streets are beautiful, quiet and bike-able. Levanzo is the smallest of the three main islands. This is where the scuba enthusiasts head to as they can dive the atmospheric remains of a Roman shipwreck scattered with amphorae and shards of black glazed pottery. On dry land, you'll find white washed houses the cave-art figures scratched into the walls of the Grotta del Genovese. Marettimo, was suggested to be the ancient homeland of the legendary hero, Odysseus. This Island is a hiker's dream, with trails that will take you past Norman castles and Byzantine churches. You can climb up to Pizzo Falcone, at a majestic 2,300 feet above sea level, the island's highest point, here you can enjoy the scent of fragrant plants and the sight of peregrine falcons circling overhead.The islands represent the largest Marine Protected Area in Europe, they are vast with wildlife, fish and migratory seabirds. You will also spot coffee-table-sized Caretta sea turtles and rare monk seals.
3.SIARGAO, PHILIPPINES
This is a beautiful pear shaped island in the Philippine Sea. It has nice beaches and stunning clear blue waters. It is still a quiet and non-touristy island but is well known by surfers for it's amazing surf spots, especially Cloud 9 where there's a big international surf contest every year. Siargao is also known for it's relaxed atmosphere, friendly people and inexpensive accommodations. Out of the 7107 Islands in the Philippines, Siargao Island must be one of the safest and one of the most peaceful places in the world.If You like Bali you will love the Siargao Island, the Island feels the way the Bali did 10 years ago. It's less than a 10th of its size but is suggested to giving Bali a real run for its money.
4.Milos
Milos is a volcanic Greek island in the Aegean Sea, just north of the Sea of Crete. If you think Santorini and Mykonos are impressive, then just wait until you see Milos. Milos has over 75 unique beaches, many of which have rock formations making it almost feel like you're visiting another planet.
5.Dahab, Egypt
Our final destination is the bohemian beach town of Dahab, a small town on the southeast coast of the Sinai Peninsula in Egypt, around 80 km northeast of Sharm el-Sheikh. It was formerly a Bedouin fishing village, but now Dahab is considered to be one of Sinai's most treasured diving destinations. It has been described as one of Egypt's only destinations with a true independent traveler vibe. Where the tourists revel in the enchanting desert landscape, the warm Bedouin hospitality and the rock-bottom prices.
