stained in obsidian

well, hello there.

its you.

and i wont be hearing from you in some time.

coz you see, in the end,

everything amounts to this one rule.

everyone loves a little bit of darkness

that maniacal emptiness

that cynical something

that you cannot name

it keeps mocking you

dances in my eyes

licking your insides

with just a tangible fire

seducing you

beckoning you

and fool that you are

fool that we all are

we blindly follow

drawn to its deadly tendrils

bound by its fatal promise

that thrill

of what lies beyond

of what could happen

when you approach the panther

beady eyed and wise

as it is deadly

you find yourself gawking

at its grace

the magnificence of it

all of it

but your pulse quickens

that it might pounce

you fear

Obsidian tearing you apart

shred by shred

bone by bone.

love, you know how it all ends.

you aren't unwise

and yet, yet all you do

is give me anguish

so tempting

for me

to show you

show you all

my all

all that darkness

all the demons

all my shadows

but, you see

i cannot.

you aren't of this world

no.

you're beauty too exquisite

to emblazon earth

beauty too pure

to be tainted

by even a blemish

of this murk i carry.

and yet, yet you anticipate it

almost as if

you love the thrill

of that mania in my eyes

of what it could stain you with

all the most exquisite colors.

oh, you crave for it, don't you?

i know.

i see it in you.

oh, your desire

for sweet twilight.

though you're not alone, love

because the truth is

i am too

crave it so much

that i have become it.

oh, love

i will fulfill all

all that your heart desires

you crave to possess me

all of me

even my darkness

even you see it

though it's but a sliver

of what i have inside.

and i will.

all but for a price.
