Around me, everything seems peaceful, quiet, cold and oddly blue... I must be in another atmosphere. I try to look around me and suddenly it hits me, I am in space. I have not noticed this weird and lightweight spacesuit. Surrounded by all this serenity, I realise that my dream came true. My six years-old self would be so excited, yet the only thing I feel is the air beneath my feet, the softness of this intense blue - that is too intense to be real.... All of a sudden the harrowing, frightening darkness replaces this angelic blue. My inner self is battling in order to stay in that dream, this reassuring and calming illusion. However, life is not that easy, right ? We cannot fall asleep each time we need to escape from reality and use our dreams as shelters.
When I finally manage to open my eyes, this feeling of discomfort lays hold on me. I'm paralysed and beyond scared : I do not recognise my bedroom, those walls look like they are about to break, even a sheet of paper looks stronger than these. And that smell... That smell of death, my nose picks up a mixture of blood and mold scent. Terrified, I step out of the room and start walking through this never-ending and oppressing corridor. I cannot help but wonder why I did not kill myself earlier : when I had the chance. This experience is worse than death itself. The atmosphere is so heavy that I feel weight not only on my shoulders but on my entire being. The corridor leads me to a "living room" if I may call it a living room. I do not deem it necessary to make a detailed description of the place. As a matter of fact it would be a hard thing to do, given the absence of life here. The more I am scanning this room, the more petrified I get. I do not even remember the last time that I had breathed. My whole being is shaking from fear. Great drops of sweat spring from my forehead, my breath is coming in broken gasps : I am having a panic attack. This..... This is not possible , this cannot be real where am I ?
Without even realising it, I pronounced those last words at loud. Surprisingly enough, someone or something answered : you are in the down under world.
