Bailey stopped in the doorway. "What do you mean safe and sound?" Daniel was looking through a closet. he found extra blankets and clothes. "Sit down and I will try and explain everything.." Daniel said shutting the closet door and walking to a love seat next to a twin size bed. Bailey walks over and leans on the bed. Keeping a good distance away from him. Daniel puts his hands together and lets out a sigh. "A virus broke out..Some people were doing a test on bodies for science and caused them to awaken? I am not really sure. But I know if you get bit or touched by one you turn into one of them..the T.V. calls them V51. I call them walkers." He said looking over at Bailey. Bailey looked down at the bed. " So every ones dead...?" Bailey said fighting back tears as she fought of her mom and sister. " No not everyone. I have at least six people outside of town." As he said that he smiled all happy to know he has people alive. Bailey crawled on the bed and sat in the center. "You should sleep..Dr. Hopkins can take care of you tomorrow." He smiled. "Thanks." Bailey lays down turning her back towards him. She slowly fell asleep while Daniel stayed up keeping watch. He was fighting to stay awake. Nodding off every second he gets up and walks around to keep him awake.
He walks around the room looking out every window. His boots making a loud sound across the hard wood flooring. He walks to the bathroom down the hall. Looking through the cabinets for medicine. He came across some Tylenol and Band-aids. He grabbed them and put them in his bag. He walks back to the bedroom. Bailey asleep still. Daniel sits back in his chair and stays up to keep watch. A hour flies by and Daniel starts to fall asleep. He closes his eyes of just a split second then hears a loud crashing sound in the kitchen. Dainel jumped onto his feet with the crossbow in his hands. Ready to kill anything out there. Daniel shakes bailey to wake up. Bailey jumps and looks up at Daniel. "Bailey we have to go now." He said standing back from her and grabbing his bag. Bailey gets up out of bed fast and brushes her hair out of her face with her fingers. "Here take this." He hands her the bag. "Whats going on?" Bailey said putting the bag over her chest laying it on her left shoulder. "Something is in the house. So we have to leave now." Daniel said walking to the bedroom door. "Wait...what? One of those walkers?" Bailey said standing there next to the bed.
"I am not really sure, But if it is run okay?" He said getting the crossbow ready. "I can't really run but I can try." Bailey said rubbing her leg where the cut is right below her Hollister shorts. "Well if you need help call for me okay?" Daniel said looking back to her then facing the door. "Yes sir." Bailey got ready, though she was scared she had to do that she was told to live. Daniel walks out looking both ways down the halls and walking to the kitchen. They both made it to the end of the hall next to the kitchen. The sounds were scary as if it was a human growling and hissing. "Bailey stay here. When I say run do it." Daniel said looking in her eyes. "I will." Bailey said while Daniel took a right to the kitchen. Bailey stood there waiting for the call. She could hear the cross bow go off and weird screaming and hissing. The hissing would stop after Bailey would hear the crossbow. Bailey stood there closing her eyes tight. She open'd them when she heard hissing getting closer. She open'd her eyes to see a walker making its way around the corner. Its hand touching the side. Skin is a blueish and green color with some part missing. Bailey walked backwards trying to hold in her screams. She could still hear Daniel. She knew all she had to do was scream for help. The walkers already spotted her. It let out a loud hissing and growl. It's mouth barely hanging on by a thread. That's it Bailey screamed. She pushed the walker away as she ran. The walker fell to the floor. Daniel turned around and saw Bailey run to the kitchen. Blood all over the floor. Bailey panic more. The walker got back up and was heading for Bailey. Daniel shot it in the eye.
Daniel grabs Baileys hand and take off for the door. They run outside and Bailey stops next to Daniel when he stops to look for walkers. "Get on the four wheeler Bailey!" Daniel yells while three of the walkers start running to Daniel. Daniel kills them and runs over to the fourwheeler. He ties down the crossnow then hops on the four wheeler and starts it. They speed off to town. Bailey held on to the bars on the back of the fourwheeler. "You okay?" Daniel asked swerving past cars in the road. Bailey looked to her left. "Mhmm..." Bailey was shaking and sore. "There is a hoodie in my bag. You can use it if you'd like." Bailey looked through the bag fast and saw this black hoodie. She rushed to put it on. The hoodie was really big on her. They ride off fast down a highway with cars every where. It takes forever to make it to the group. At least a hour on a four wheeler. 30 minutes go by and Bailey is fighting to stay awake. She finally slowly lays her head on Daniels back and wraps her hands around his waist.
