“How many fucking times do I have to tell you not to fight at school!?” A stout blonde woman screamed at the teenager in the front seat as she climbed in.
“Whatever.” Was all the teen muttered. His long brown hair fell into his eyes as he turned to look out the window. His slender hands were covered in cuts and bruises, remnants of blood still decorated his skin. Although, dark red cat ears stuck out on each side of his head, and two black rings hung loosely from the left one. An equally colored cat tail thumped angrily on the car seat.
“No, not whatever, Matthew. You know what I told you would happen if you fought at school again.”
The brunette's pale blue eyes got huge for a second, before he turned quickly back to face his mother. “You can't be serious..” His voice shook a bit as he talked.
“I warned you, Matthew. As soon as you get home you can pack your things. I already called your father's friend, and he agreed to take you till you learned manors.” Her eyes never left the road as she drove, her pudgy fingers gripping the steering wheel tightly.
“Mom! Please, let me stay! I won't fight anymore, I promise!” Matthew pleaded, his red ears pressed tightly to his head. Matt was already picked on as it was now, with classmates that have known him for a while. A whole new setting seemed like hell to the small boy.
After a few moments of silence without an answer, a thin red tail thumped loudly on the upholstery of the seat. “Mom!” Matthew hissed angrily.
“I've said what I'm going to. There's no negotiating. Your dad said he would take you to his friend's house when he gets off work tonight. Be ready for a three hour car ride.” The woman's voice was monotone, her eyes still locked on the road.
Matt's blue eyes began to swim in tears. “Fine. But don't expect me to stay there. I'm leaving as soon as I'm 18.” He hissed as he tried to hold back the desperate sobs that threatened to pour out of him. Not another word was said throughout the car ride back their house.
