A s h l e y ' s p o v Kory stares at me completely unfazed by the situation she was in.
"I don't know what your talking about!"
I clench my fists and turn around trying to avoid my anger getting the best of me and making a mess of the small roller rink.
The outside was most promising.
I push the doors open and step outside the cool air seemingly calming me down slightly.
" Ashley! There you are" my eyes widen and I sprint towards the brown haired man.
I jump into him wrapping my arms around his shoulders tears rolling down my face, "Dick! You came back for us!"
He hugs me tightly, breathing heavily.
"Are you okay? Let's go find Rachel." We both walk into the Roller Rink side by side.
He approaches Kory, "Excuse me. Hey, I gotta talk."
"Yea, take a number." Dick glances at me a small smile on his face.
"About Rachel and Ashley."
Kory turns and her eyes widen in surprise, "You're Dick from Detroit."
I bite my lip to suppress any hurtful words or remarks about to surface and be fired at the woman.
"Where is she?" I turn and point her out to him, Rachel was talking to a boy with striking green hair.
"Hey, come on. We're going."
"What are you doing here?" Rachel asks her voice full of hostility.
"Now is not the time, okay?" Dick stares at her, clearly annoyed by her stubbornness.
"Why are you here?"
"can we talk about this somewhere else, Let's go" I glance at the boy and whom was looking extremely confused but still wearing a giant smile.
Dick turns and leaves us standing there I quickly turn on my heel and pick up my pace to keep up with Dick.
"Rachel, we gotta get you somewhere safe."
"do you know who sent that weird family after her?" I glare at Kory, my eyes full of anger.
"Who the hell are you?" Dick questions, "I don't know, but somehow Rachel and Ashley are the keys to figuring it out" i quickly glance at Kory once again and pick up my pace getting ahead of them.
"is that why you kidnapped them?"
"she didn't kidnap us, she saved us."
I stare at Kory and Rachel scoffing angrily.
When we exit the Roller Rink, I pull Kory and Rachel to a halt "Saved us? Really? She drugged me!"
Rachel looks down, "I know..." my eyes widen in shock and disbelief, clenching my fists angrily car alarms start going off.
"You let her drug me!" the windows on all the cars in the parking lot shatter and the glass begins to levitate in the air.
"You were freaking out, it was only a few sleeping pills."
I scream in anger and the glass falls to the ground, Dick rubs my shoulder for comfort. "Calm down, Ashley."
"How's Dawn? Is she..." my eyes widen and my hand covers my mouth.
"Rachel..."
"I read what happened online, is she gonna be okay?" Dick sighs.
"who's dawn?"
I brush past Kory and walk next to Dick feeling more safe being next to him.
"I really can't talk about this right now, okay? The cops are looking for both of you. They think Rachel killed her mom." Dick stares at Ashley.
"And they think you killed that man in the church."
Kory scoffs, "That's news."
"i may have failed to mention-" Dick cuts Rachel off and turns to look at Kory.
"they're looking for you too. Assault on multiple officers. Arson. Not to mention kidnapping."
Rachel stops moving "like I said she didn't kidnap us, she saved us. When you didn't." the hurt on Dick's face makes me nearly want to cry.
"well that's technically true, Dick." I cross my arms over my chest interested in where this conversation was going.
"Gee, that's a new one."
"I'm not going without her." I shrug and smile fakely.
"I'm happy to leave without her, your call." Rachel glares at me and I roll my eyes, annoyed by her behaviour.
"What she said."
Dick looks at both of them confused, "Can you please tell me what the hell is going on?"
"you left me." Rachel states.
"no I didn't." Dick denies the alligation.
"you might as well have. You were going to."
"Rachel, I wasn't." Rachel cuts him off abruptly "I read the note-" I groan loudly and hold back any unforgiving words.
"you were just going to leave me with them." I scoff, offended.
"I just needed time to figure things out."
"Stop!"
"Rachel!" she leans forward and screams her voice distorted. "Stop!"
What's left of the glass on the cars around us explodes and a shard of it cuts my cheek, I groan and pull it out dropping it.
"I need to go back to the sisters!" I glance at her in confusion who the hell were the sisters?
"okay. Come on, let's go." We all get into Dick's car.
The car takes off at a quick speed and during the drive all that runs through my head is how the hell did his windows not break with the others?
