She left Knights mansion at dawn. He had been fast asleep after the copious amounts of sex they had had. And even though she felt drained from the feeding he had done, she felt well-loved. She hadn't realised how much she had missed the feeling of being at the mercy of a man, but with Knight it wasn't a risk. She knew he would never harm her, even when anger had burned through his veins- he was able to control himself from giving into his vampire instincts.

She once again sent a thank you to the gods for allowing her to finally meet him. The man they had taunted her with for a millennia. The vampire she would call her own. Her liandré.

When she made it to the top of the hill, she breathed in deeply- taking in the sight below her. She was in Alpha Bains territory. She had met the lycan years before the war began. He was still a young troubled lad back then. Had even had the nerve to try and seduce her. She snorted at the memory, waving it away.

Even with being secluded in the forest- she had kept track of the war, of the players involved in it. Those behind the scenes and in them. She kept her eyes on old acquaintances and allies- watched some of them fall to the humans. She had mourned them. Had cried at how powerless she had to be. She had questioned the gods about why they were punishing her, but they had only answered with the word 'QUESTOS', balance.

So she had watched and waited, planned and concluded- all until the gods gave her a sign. And she had received it. Six nights ago.

++++++++++++++++++-------------------------------===================

It was a full moon that night which meant that her forest was to be riddled with noises you only hear in nightmares, instead it had been quiet. Curiosity had won over and so she had decided to take a stroll in the moonlight. She had come across various nests and empty caves which had meant the beasts were out, yet they were silent. Nervousness had settled in the pit of her stomach as she walked away from the deepest parts of the forest, to where the border marked the end of the forest and the start of the various villages. But not long before she reached a clearing that came an hour before the border, she felt a tugging on her hands. The moon goddess who had led her on her path for most of her life was pleading for her to go faster. To reach the border before it was too late.

And when the snarls of the many beasties she lived among began, she whispered her approach into the earth. And it began to tremble. A warning for the beasts of her approach, one they heeded as they had all scattered into the shadows when she arrived at the scene. A gory scene she had seen in all the visions she had of the war.

But there were survivors. Shifters and vampires. Each looking so petrified as she approached, she wondered if their hearts would stop by the time she stood before them. But the vampires were the first to snap out of their frightened states.

"W-witch!" One had shouted.

"Demon!" Another had seethed.

"The king and queen would be delighted if we brought Lucifers spawn to the castle. Better than any amount of shifters we could provide." The leader of the group chuckled darkly. "We'd be rich."

Eve had learnt of the vampire monarchies plans of using shifters as breeding tools to create weapons. She had seen some of the results and they had disgusted her. She often wondered if it made the gods as furious as it made her.

"You will not be taking me anywhere. I helped create your kind, I can just as easily wipe you out."
She unsheathed the long crystallized blade made of an element she had created that could kill any magic being, beast or human.

"We'll seal her mouth when we capture her. Just to ensure she can't utter any curses or spells," the closest vampire snarled.

And then they pounced. The vampire who had wanted to bind her mouth was the first to fall to her blade, disintegrating into ash when the crystal sliced through his neck. Two more fell to her blade as they had tried to attack her as one, but she was a quick force as she drove her sword through he ones chest and then sliced across into the other ones arm. She ducked as one of the vampires dove for her waist, rolling onto her back she sliced through his waist before he became ash. Using the fact that she was on the ground to their advantage, two more vampires jumped to capture her arms and legs- but she portled to a standing position behind them. Kicking the both of them to the ground, she pierced their heart's with her blade- a wicked smile on her face as she watched them float away with the wind.
