Three days passed and still the witch was yet to awaken. Bain watched over her for the most part, but when his duties stole him away- Fiona and Beau were at her side. The whole of Alpha Bain territory waited patiently to give their thanks to the woman who had saved them, who had extinguished fires and eradicated vampires. They felt indebted to the comatose woman who had risked her life by saving them. She would now have a target on her back once word spread of the witch that still lived.

There were still many casualties and villagers left unaccounted for, but thanks to Eve the death toll was lower than what it would have been.

Meanwhile Knight remained holed up in his mansion, waiting to feel the presence of the woman who took over his every thought. But he had not felt her comforting presence since the day he had told her to stay safe.

Word had already reached him that the attack of the Lord of Bridgestone was unsuccessful and that it was still under investigation on how one hundred and thirty five vampires went missing. The number had surprised even him, part of him even wondered if Eve had somehow whisked them off somewhere. He had never seen her power but he had felt the ancient, deep powers dwelling behind her skin. He knew that if she wished it she could create some beautiful things, yet he was still aware of the part of her that could destroy and bring the world to its knees.

Deciding enough was enough, Knight picked a side satchels with some food supplies and clothing. If he had to sit around waiting for Eve to contact him, he would be driven into insanity. So after tacking and sadling up a horse, Knight mounts his stallion and urges him forward with a click of the tongue.

When Prince Knight reached Alpha Bains pack house, he dismounted his horse- patting him down his neck. Two guards approached him with caution, hands going to their weapons hanging from their belts. Knight pulled his weapons belt off and threw it into one of many satchels lining his stallion.

"I haven't come to start a fight, I just need to know if Eve is here."

"What's it to you?" One of the guards sneered.

"She's under my care. I just need to know if she's alright, and if she isn't here then could you please point me in her direction." Knight hoped she was here, but he knew that there was little chance that these two guards would tell him that.

"She is still housing here. In fact she hasn't woken up in days." A figure approached from the seven story house, "who might you be?"

"Knight Brevard. I was one of the first people to come into contact with Eve after she left her solitude in the forest. She came to my mansion with Alpha Xerxes, an old friend of mine, as they needed to inquire about some things of the vampire court."

The man that now stood before him had grey blue eyes, an oval face, white hair that reached past his shoulders and black arched eyebrows. All in all he was an intimidating, but Knight was used to Alphas, and he knew not to show any weaknesses. Too late for that. He thought to himself.

"I scented you on her when she first got here, perhaps you'll know what to do." Bain motions for him to follow. "My men will make sure your horse is fed and watered down."

"Thank you." Knight glanced around, nervousness settling in his stomach. Where was she? "Did something happen to Eve?"

Bain glanced over his shoulder, "she's been sleeping for three days. Nothing has been able to awaken her."

Knight hurried his steps. Nothing could happen to her, if something did...

It wasn't long before they reached her room, her scent hitting him even through the door. Bain opened the double doors quietly, letting knight step I first. And there she was. Sound asleep, her chest rising and falling at a constant pace. His feet carried him to her side, where he reached out to brush strands of gold from her face.
