Smoke inters my lungs as I breathed in, the fire overtook the buildings around me causing sweat to drip down my face. My eyes scanned the battlefield finding what I was looking for, a tall figure who was in the process of hunting down a young lady. All for one enveloped my legs before leaped from my perch. My leg made an impact with an echo of bones breaking. The man yelped in pain and shock as he was flung into a wall. Now I was in between them. Looking behind me "goes down the road. They're an EMT team waiting. I'll handle him," I said, giving her my best smile. Which calmed her "thank you Deku," she stammered a slight blush swiped her face as she got up and ran.
I looked back at my opponent; his red eyes glared at me, slowing getting up. I glare "if you stop now, you might have less time and pain. "His eyes locked with mine, green hair fell into my eyes, bouncing with each step I took, his face getting more visible. Blood socked so his left side, black hair covers his forehead, as he lends on the wall, hands slowly move up, surrendering.
Faces of villains flashed in my brain, nothing came up. He was a new villain probably. "good, what's you name kid," I whispered, gently gripping his hands putting cuffs on him for safety. "Flint..." he looked at his feet. His speck was broken; he was younger then I had thought. "very well flint, want to walk to the police or jump?" I gave a big smile, he gave me a questioning look." jump?". My smile became a smirk. I picked him up and push up. I shivered a little as it had gotten colder with flames getting smaller. He panicked as I jumped nimbly into the moonlit sky. I chuckled gleefully, he instantly froze like a kitten being picked up by its mother. I quickly found the police, dropping him off. They eagerly put him in the white car, giving me thanks, leaving soon after. Countless people stormed me, wanting Deku the number 1 hero autographs and pictures. The girl from before promptly gave me a gracious wave, a small Pomeranian sat in her arm, before getting in a white car.
Flash; scribbles; chat and repeat; I loved this part of my job. Talking to my fans never really got old even if I was tired and in pain. I smile just as all might did, even in his death I still looked up to him, tried to faithfully follow in his footsteps. In the small amount of time, my brain had left this world into the train of thought. My fans had left and something stood next to me, scaring me half to death making me jump. Giving them a small laugh, they sounded familiar, looking to their face.
The telltale sign of my old friend number 3 hero Shoto, a frost burn marked his lift eye and this red and white hair. "Shoto? What are you doing here?" I nervously said, he promptly gave me a small smile, "yes Shoto is my name, and I'm here because they need help with the fire and I was close to the area. I saw you staring off into space and thought I might say hi at less. ". I shivered with the night cold touch, and awarded silent pulled at us. Making me note I had to cut my hair soon with once nicely cut sides were longer then I remembered. "but that's, not the only reason I came over" I looked up to him, he played with his hands." i... well, I wanted to ask you to dinner. To get to know each other again, time changes people plus you look like you need a break from the hero life", my brain buffers trying to process the invention. "Shoto I don't know, I'm always busy" the words wavered and uneven as I start to ramble, only to be interrupted by laughter. Wide green eyes scanned the taller male, trying to find what was so funny. I opened my mouth to ask only for him to answer, "you're just the same as you use to be, come it's only for maybe 2 hours. Your, not the only hero." it felt weird to see his usually cold friend be the person trying to drag me out of my work. I signed shaking my head," okay ill go", Shoto's eyes lit up, he grabs something in his pocket, the phone beamed as it woke up. After a few seconds, he put the screen in front of me. His number lined the screen. I quickly pulled mine out and sent a text to the number. He gave me a small smile and put his phone back "ill send you a text later of time and place,". I smiled, "okay, see you tomorrow Shoto." We had sat there awkwardly before he turned around with a bye leaving myself and the night to mingle.
I let out the cold breath I was holding. I turned the opposite way to my small apartment, stopping to change into some warm close. The long sleeves touched my burns making me cringe. I moved to the street. even at night the city bustled with life, lights flashed and cars beeped. the chatter of people getting a drink with coworkers after a long day of work filled the bars. My body ached for bed and so did my mind, simply making me not want to us my quirk. I quickly got to my house after around 20 minutes. My apartment was nice and private, it smells of cleaning products as I walk down the hall to door 536. I yawned as I unlocked and opened the door, walking in. The house was a simple setup picture of my mother, and I sat on the corner. I went to the bathroom washed off and looked in the mirror, as I thought my hair needs to be cut again. I looked tried bags grow from my eyes, "maybe I do need a break.". I signed though on some pajamas I sat on my coach food in hand. The buzz of my phone woke me up from the tv. "Shoto ~ fire and wood dinner, we'll meet at 6" I smiled at the texts, "okay".
