Whenever my parents had left for business trips or even shopping sprees I had always snooped in their room. They've never caught me, so, I'm technically allowed to snoop. Once, i felt my mothers warm and gentle lips on my forehead, I smiled and tucked my brown hair behind my ear. "I'll miss you Mom." I said softly and leaned into her hand, that was cupped on my left cheek. "We'll miss you too hun, but remember it's only a week. We'll be back, I promise." My mom said. I had always admired her, she was so wise, friendly and beautiful. Luckily, i got her green eyes, her thick hair, height and freckles. But, i got my dads light brown hair, and everything else. I'm a mixture of both of them! And, unlike most teenage girls I'm pretty confident with myself!
My dad ruffled my hair and i looked up at his smile. "Alli bug, you alive?" I didn't even realize I was zoning out. But, playing it cool I giggled and nodded. "Yep!" I pulled them into a tight hug. "I love you guys." I whispered and took in a deep breath. Mom smelled like warm vanilla sugar, and dad smelled like axe body spray. I hate the combination, but since its my parents it comforts me.
They pulled away and grabbed their stuff. "Love you, Alli bug." They said in unison. I waved and smiled. "Bye mom, bye dad, love you too." I waited till the door closed, before rushing up the stairs. I fell halfway, cause of my socks but I laughed it off and ran faster. Sliding, down the hall I quickly threw open their bedroom door. Their room was always so clean.. and white. My mother loved everything white and black. White couch, black pillows, anything.
Rushing to their closet i quickly opened the door and started snooping. I found a few Christmas presents, but none of them were for me. They were for their co-workers. I sighed and continued to snoop. My hand touched something leather. I tried grabbing it with one hand but it was too heavy, so I leaned over and grunted. I wiped the dust off of it. The title was scratched up, and ruined.
"Woah.." I felt myself smile. I carried the book to my room and set it on my desk. Sitting in my chair, I opened the first page.

"Dear Allisana,
Mistakes are normal, Accidents happen,
Worries are apart of life, Apologies are fake.
Have you been living, or have you been stuck in a void?
You've been zoning out.. a lot recently.. wanna know why? "

My body tensed up. Who wrote this..? Mom..? Dad..? No. They aren't like that. I read the rest and think for a moment. The page is almost filled up. I check the thickness. 500 pages or more. Flipping to the next page I notice it's empty. I flipped every single page till the end, empty. "What the hell..?" I whimpered and flipped back to the page I was on.

" Think about it Allisana.. Alli-bug.. you haven't been yourself.. you haven't been living. You notice the pages are empty.. every day, a new message will appear. When your parents come home, they will finally notice that YOU are not happy.. stop faking it Alli-bug..
join us, you'll be happy:)"

'Join us, you'll be happy:)' runs through my mind. I shiver and look around. Who is 'us' I am happy! "I.. i am happy..? Right?" I ask and slowly close the book. I walk out to the balcony and take in the spring breeze. My long brown hair blew through the wind. I closed my eyes, and a series if terrifying images ran through my imagination. I feel hands on my back and they feel like they're pushing me. I let out a scream and open my eyes. I'm still standing. I hug myself and run inside. "What was that.." I tear up and looked around. Biting my lip, I grab my phone and call Charles over. He'll know what to do..
