"It's a girl, Emma. A beautiful baby girl" Dr. Beauchamp says smiling. My mum, Emma, held me in her arms for the first time.
"What's her name gonna be?" She asked. "Caitlin. Caitlin Nicole Pallay-Barnes" A tear fell from her cheek.
March 15, 1995
That's the day I was born.
I was born in Mullingar Grace Hospital, in Mullingar, Westmeath, Ireland.
I was born by Emma Rose Pallay-Barnes and Daryl Bentley Barnes.
I was 7 lbs 4 oz.
I had blue-green eyes and dark, dark brown hair.
My first word was, "love".
My parents took me home 2 days after I was born. You know. Because, you have to be at least two days old to be taken home. Well, I was a very happy and playful baby. I always was smiling and laughing. I adored my older sister, Leslie Coraline Barnes. Leslie used to hold me while rocking me until I fell asleep. Leslie loved me. We were a happy family.
Until I turned 5.
