What A Journey

Chapter three

Sang's POV

A groan as I hear my alarm beeping. Why, why did I forget to turn it off. I'm still tired, after my shitty nights sleep. Hitting my alarm as I roll myself out of bed. I head towards the kitchen, smiling as I walk pass the children's bedroom and hear the laughing and whisper. Glad the disruption last night did upset them, that much.

I make a start on breakfast, nothing to big, just some pop tars. Quick and easy. A few seconds later I hear their bedroom door open followed by their footsteps. They sit at the tables with their smiling faces and I just have to smile back. My heart swells whenever I look at them. They remind me of their dad so much and I know he would adore them, they all would. The thought of them breaks my heart, I know I should of told them but I was feeling sorry for myself, then too much time had passed and I was scared. I feel like I should of made more of an effort to get in touch with them even if it was just for the sake of the twins having a relationship with their dad.

"What are we doing today mamma" Poppy asks.

I look out the window and the sun is shining.

"What do you say about going to the zoo" I say to both if them.

Ace does a fist pump and shouts "yes. I love the zoo. I wonder if they've got any baby animals. Quick mamma that's eat now so we can get ready".

I laugh and pass them their pop tarts and it feel like two seconds later there plates are empty.

After a quick shower were all dressed in shorts and tees for the day ahead.

The car journey is a loud one the twins love the zoo and are arguing about which animals we will see first.

In the end I tell them "we'll decide which animals we see first by flipping a coin when we get out of the car. Ok"

They both nod while mumbling. I've found these the easiest way to solve problems. It seems to work, at the moments. As they get older I'll have to find away to change it up.

Poppy wins the coin flip so we're starting with the monkeys. Sounds about right as she a monkey herself.

"Look, look mamma. That ones eating fruit. Look he find it in the tree. Wow" Poppy is so excited, you'd think she's never been here before. Her face is pushed up against the glass. Ace right next to her.

Ace shouts "look mamma there fighting". Ace is pointing to two monkeys chasing and pushing at each other. We stay there for a while before heading to see the tigers. Aces favourite.

We get to tigers just as it's feeding time. Ace is jumping around, as the tigers are normally asleep when we see them. It's his turn to have his face pressed up against the glass. I look around at the people near us. Out the corner of my eye I see a man with long blonde hair. I freeze. No, no, no, no, I'm over thinking this. Loads of people have long blonde hair.

Calm the fuck down Sang. Do not do this, deep breaths. I some how manage to remain calm and encourage the kids to another part of the zoo. The rest of the day continues on and nothing else has me freaking out. See over reacting mind.

When we get home the twins are worn out and just laze out on the sofa for the rest of the evening colouring and watching TV.

"That's get ready for bed and continue our story." I shout from the kitchen. The twins jump up and run towards their bedroom.

Blackbourne Teams POV

All the men are sat around the table waiting for their family meeting to start.

Mr.Blackbourne starts "Good evening gentlemen. We'll start by seeing how each of us got on today. Dr.Green and myself found nothing of interest. Went to all the spots where we we're told people matching that description have been seen. But unfortunately came up empty."

Kota speaks next "same on our end. Victor, Nate and me searched all our locations and found nothing."

North grunts and mumbles "same Silas and I walked around for ages. It was a fucking waste of time"

"Brother" Silas put a hand on North's arm. North took a deep breath.

Luke speaks next "Gabe and I had an amazing day at the zoo".

Before he could say anymore some of the men had an out burst.

"Fun. Fun you was meant to be looking for Sang."

"why did we let you two pair up. Again. "

"No fair. I wanted to go to the zoo".

Mr.Blackbourne cleared his throat and asked  "what was so amazing about the zoo Mr.Taylor".

Luke has a smug look on his face as he answers "we'll cause Sang was there of course".

Gabe laughs as the room explodes.
