It's midnight and a sudden flash of light struck behind me.
I turned to a fresh scent of rain and my heart filled with glee.
I pondered as the buildings were scraping the sky.
So birds will no longer be able to fly.
I looked down and saw a girl staring back at me.
She looked so happy, but her eyes said differently.
They signalled pain though she didn't want to cry.
And so she felt like a bird that's not able to fly.
Everything was fine, yet it wasn't suffice.
I stared for too long, so I blinked once or twice.
Suddenly, small drops on the girl start to huddle,
when then I had realised it's me through a puddle.
