A young woman in her mid twenties was walking down the street in her college neighborhood when she hears a current news report play on a television set in a store and looks over to listen to it. “The world was a terrible place with much fighting and death, but that all changed thanks to the creation of the androids. WP Androids were finding new ways to make peace and to stop all death and destruction on Earth. If not for the company, then the Earth was predicted to be destroyed in the last three years and all of human life with it. WP Androids had made new technology to help save the environment and all of humanity.” The young woman rolled her eyes due to the news report and walked away from the store and headed to her dorm. Almost everyone on Earth thought that they could stop death from war and destruction which they did with the creation of the android. But the human race was coming to an end due to the creation of androids and society's need for lust and perfection.
As the young woman opened the door to her shared dorm, her roommate started to yell at her. “JESSICA! I THOUGHT I TOLD YOU TO GO OUT AND NOT COME BACK UNTIL 7:30!” The young woman named Jessica, looked over at a clock on the wall that was next to her bed and it read 7:20. “Bethany. I am only ten minutes early. Why did you want me to go out for more than three hours after class anyway?” Jessica asked as she looked back over to her roommate, who looked very mad at her. Bethany continued to say, “Because I am still hanging out with my boyfriend!” “Do you mean that android that you met a week and a half ago and is a rebound from your last android boyfriend?” That’s right. The world made androids to help fix the world's problems but almost everyone is dating the metal things because they are so “Perfect”. The environment can be fixed, the amount of deaths at war can be fixed but the population of the human race is decreasing and we may all go extinct in the next decade. Bethany turns slightly pink with anger and embarrassment.” JUST LEAVE AND DON’T COME BACK! YOU RUINED MY WHOLE NIGHT!” Bethany yelled as she pushed Jessica out the door of their dorm, which she proceeded to close and lock. Jessica just looked at the door shocked for a minute before turning away and walking down the hall to leave the dormitory.
Jessica once thought of dating an android and she did but she soon realized that it wasn’t all that good. There was an error in the android’s coding that made him lose control and had him twitch and glitch out on his words. She thought about it and people only dated so they can find the person that they would love and marry in the future. Then if the couple really wanted to they could have a family. But androids do not have a reproductive system like humans do, so no one could start a family with an android unless they adopt. Jessica hated the idea of no children and no family, so she decided to stop dating until she found someone that was good and human.
After walking around the college grounds for a while, Jessica decided to go to the nearest cafe to get a cup of coffee. As she walked into the cafe, she saw a couple, one of them was obviously an android. Jessica looked disappointed and cringed at them making out as she walked over to the cashier to order her coffee. “Um… Hello and welcome to the cafe. What would you like to order?” said the cashier, who Jessica thought was handsome. She blushed and shook her head to get rid of such a thought. She then proceeded to order, “I would like a medium coffee with cream and four sugars, please.” “That will be $3.82 ma’am.” Jessica handed the cashier the money for her drink and in return got her receipt which had a number on it. Presumably the cashier’s is what she thought. “Excuse me? Is this your phone number?” Jessica asked as she took the coffee that the cashier had just made. “ Yeah” he responded. “I think someone as beautiful as you can’t be out just to go partying in a sweater and jeans. So I thought I would give you my number and we could just talk.” “That’s nice and all… But I don’t even know your name and wouldn’t it be weird to just call someone I have only just met?” The cashier looked at Jessica surprised after hearing her question. “ I’m sorry, I don’t know what I was thinking. My name is Connor and I guess it would be a little weird.” Connor apologized. Jessica just shook her head smiling and said, “It's quite ok. It just tells me that you are human and not an android. Thanks for the coffee Connor.”
